I just went back to the GMC website and looked at some pics of the different Denalis. It looks like the Envoy Denali has smaller holes in the grille. I can't copy and paste the images, but you can go to http://www.gmc.com/envoy/photos.jsp#top and click on the Envoy Denali tab and go through the pics...

I look forward to seeing what it looks like. I was just down at the beach and Denalis are EVERYWHERE. It seems it is the vehicle of choice for all the wealthy beach-condo-owner-types and private school soccer moms. I've checked all the after-market sources and nobody's making them for the Sonoma tha...

I can't wait to see what that grille looks like. Will it be an insert or something that replaces the current. I guess an insert would be easiest. You are one handy dude. I wish I could just make stuff for my truck. I'm impressed. If you made some available, I might buy one (after seeing how it turns...

Sonoma Denali grille
I have loved the look of the Yukon Denali (and now Sierra Denali and Envoy Denali). Evidently many more do too! GMC is making a killing on little more than badging and that cool grille. I want one (a grille) for my Sonoma. I'm not talking about one of those cheap imitations inserts that I've seen on...

Update... I've checked online with aftermarketers, and I have not found any third brake/bed light combo replacements for my warped original. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to see 'em. This is kind of interesting...I have found several replacement OEM lights at salvage yards. MOST WERE WARPED LIKE...

Where's the link to see how you did it? My third brake light (on the back of the cab above the sliding rear window) has been warped from the heat of the light itself. I was about to replace it, but have missed having a cargo light back there (as I had on my 86 GMC full-size). I'd love to make an imp...

Thanks, HJ. That's a good link. Thanks also for the "outside the box" F-150 thought. I'll check in to it. I'm sure a front clip of a ZR2 and labor would cost much more than even a suspension lift. I've got about 12-14 more months of good tread on my 31s, so I've got some time to do some research. Bu...

I'm not gonna downsize the tires. That runs counter my redneck DNA. I'd much rather do some serious cutting. I'm sorry to hear that the Bushwackers actually decrease the opening--may necessitate a change of strategy. The suspension lift gets pretty pricy, and I like the look and the ride characteris...

HJ, I'm probably going to do the bushwacker thing like you have done to get the ZR2 look. Currently I have a body lift, torsion bar crank, and rear shackles; and wear 31x10.5 BFG's. My problem is my truck has the familiar occasional front tire rub when on rough terrain. Here's my question: Will the ...

Yall should read the article that just came out in Truck Trend magazine. It seems that Jeep and VW are on to something. They predict that virtually every manufacturer will offer smaller diesel engines for suvs and trucks. I'm feeling like a prophet again!javascript:emoticon('') Even GM has a pl...

Small diesel pickup
I'm still mourning GM's decision to replace the Sonoma/S-10 with girly pickups with 1 LESS cylinder and 1000 lbs. LESS towing capability. I like the size of the new "mid-sized" pickups (Colorado/Canyon), and the increase in gas mileage is great, but I need to tow. Is there any chance that the popula...
