Could be the fuel injection spider assembly under the intake manifold. There is an upgrade from CPI to MPI. I had a similar problem on my old 01 CC and when the spider assembly was upgraded by GM it ran much better and gained a little better gas mileage.

The CC bed is from an Isuzu Hombre which is why S10 fender flares do not fit the rear and as F9K9 mentioned you won't find anything for S10's that will clear 35's. Another option is going down to a local GM dealership and ask their parts dept to do a national database search of all the dealerships and see if anyone still has some. It is normal for the t-bar bolts to be at different positions even when the truck is sits perfectly level. Re: Playstation 3 Games Online
Spoken like a true gamer! My wife of 15 years still doesn't like the shooting games, but since me and my son have so much fun playing them together she tends to stay quiet, most of the time.

Playstation 3 Games Online
Does anybody here play PS3 games online through the Playstation network? Me and my son both play online and we're looking for people who like to play the same games we do. We mostly play Call Of Duty Black Ops 1 and 2 plus Modern Warfare 2 and 3, Gran Turismo 5, and Battlefield 3. If you play any of...

Mileage? What plugs are you running? What is your fuel pressure? You may have codes stored without any warning lights. Check for codes first and go from therefore.

Re: Rear axle bearing and seal replacement questions.
The aluminum cover is more than just "free" advertising. The extra thick aluminum combined with bearing cap preload bolts helps prevent the case from flexing which is common on the 7.625, it offers superior protection compared to the weak stamped cover, it has drain and fill plugs with magnets to re...

Re: Liquid behind dash
Prestone super flush works pretty good. Just put 1 or 2 bottles in, fill with water, drive for a day with this mixture, drain, flush with water, fill with green stuff 50/50 mix (depending on climate) and throw in a bottle of Redline water wetter for better heat transfer. It's also important that you...

Re: Rear axle bearing and seal replacement questions.
:alert: Save your money, you don't need to change your diff oil. Almost all GL4 and GL5 gear oils contain some friction modifier. If you had a limited slip that used spring loaded clutch packs or a spring loaded cone you would need to add additional friction modifier to prevent chattering, but since...

Re: No Help from The Jeep Forums
I've never worked on a Dana, but all of the GM 10 and 12 bolts I've rebuilt had a pinion preload anywhere from 10-12 inch #'s for used bearings to 14-16 inch #'s for new bearings and I never had any problems later. New bearings and races require more preload than used bearings that are already broke...

I would also guess air in the coolant, maybe from a clogged heater core, bad intake gasket, or air being sucked in from another source.

Re: Need a 1st gen AC compressor support arm for 2.8 engine
Thanks Brule, I found one today that might work if I use a much longer mounting bolt so we will see. I searched 40+ S10's today and only found 1 brace on a 91 that might fit my 87! If he comes up with something, just shoot me a msg.

Need a 1st gen AC compressor support arm for 2.8 engine
If any of you guys happen to visit a salvage yard anytime soon can you help me find a part? I am looking for an AC support arm/bracket for a 1st gen S10 (87-93 w/serpentine belt) with the 2.8 engine. I don't need the main bracket which is made of aluminum which bolts to the front of the engine, I ju...

Re: CV joints
The factory u-joints do not have zerk fittings and are held in place by nylon injection. Replacement u-joints are held in place by snap rings. I prefer the greasable u-joints over the sealed type since you can flush out old grease and contaminants. The only problem is access to the zerks which somet...

Re: Check Engine light is flashing, rough idle. Ideas?
A flashing CEL usually indicates a serious problem and is also a warning that catalyst damage may occur if not fixed soon. This can be from too much fuel being dumped into the engine or an extremely lean condition. If your gas mileage has dropped significantly your probably getting too much fuel or ...

Re: CV joints
Are both u-joints still tight on the driveshaft? Even a little play will cause vibrations. If rotating the driveshaft changed when the vibration comes in, you are probably on the right track. Be careful tightening the pinion nut as you can pretty easily exceed the recommended pre load on the pinion ...

Awesome pics as usual and I'm jealous as usual. I also liked the underwater pics! Does it get warm enough to swim in that lake?

After I installed the 2" PA body lift I machined some 2" tow hook spacers for the front that were made out of square aluminum stock. I used them for recovery a few times and even managed to pull a Suburban out of a snow covered ravine and a Toyota Camry out of a ditch a few weeks later without causi...

Re: Damn truck!
The fuel filter is always a good idea. Make sure you have spark! Coils do occasionally go bad as do distributors. You said your battery died and then you replaced it. Make sure it wasn't your alternator that killed it.

Re: Damn truck!
Check for spark and then check for fuel pressure. Do you hear the pump prime when you turn the key to on? What is your voltage at the alternator?
