I am familar with this shop. A few friends have used Meadowlands to install a suspension lift. I have heard only positives about their service.
And I think the last time I was talking with a manager there, he said his wife has a crew...

bolt extraction
This weekend I over torqued a bolt and broke it. :x :x The bolt is on my quad, a Honda 400EX. Now I have to drill it out. This is going to be a challenge. The broken piece of bolt is about 5mm in diameter, 1cm in length and about 4 inches inside the engine block. Can anybody provide some input on th...

IMO, I would change the tranny fluid and filter. The properties of ATF are just too important to be tested using the taste and smell method. ATF that has lost it's ability to do its stuff won't show immediate signs of age. I don't think a flush would hurt the tranny, as long as the system used doesn...

Linden, NJ GM plant
from my local paper, 2/19/04 "...GM has been running one shift in Linden for the past few years. Lower consumer demand for the pickups and SUVs built there led to the cutback, Flores said. The company will produce about 215 vehicles per day at the plant. GM builds midsize pickups and midsize sport u...

Is it easy to drain the transmission fluid and change the filter yourself? Or roughly how much would it cost to have done? it's not hard at all. save yourself the $$ and do it yourself. the only thing annoying is that some of the bolts on the pan are a bit of a pain to get at. but before you do the...

Tranny Filter/Fluid change
Yesterday I spent way too much time changing the transmission fluid & filter. GM has put the shift linkage bracket onto the tranny pan. This makes taking the pan off even more of a pain in the ass. :x , than my '88 S10. There isn't much room to get a wrench up there, forget about a socket. It ain't ...

Window motor
My driver side window has started to hesitate on its up & down travel.
At first I thought the switch is going, but I think it's the motor due to the
hesitation in travel.
I'm bringing it in & having the warranty do its stuff.
