Re: Nearing completion of a big crew lift
You can flush your heater core by removing both lines and tuning a water hose loose on one of the sides at a time. When I had my crew I did this and tons of junk shot out of the core.

If you want weatherproof, find a few different cavalier/sunfires in the junkyard that have had the GM starter fire recall thingy. They are bolted to the core support on the engine side. Super easy to remove and 100% weather resistant/proof.

See the giant 4ga wire coming out the back of the alternator and the bit 4ga ground going to the side of the bracket? I also have a ground going down to the frame rail as well. I think I have about $20 invested in all the crap doing this. but my voltage don't do nowhere near what it used to with the...

I Don't think there was a magnet on the broken diff cover. I do know that the donor axle diff cover has a magnet on it and it works, as it is on the truck now.
Also now that I swapped the vacuum switch the truck don't feel like it's draggin a anchor behind it.

Long story short, the rear diff locked up on me coming to a stop sign. Made it to my destination with the truck in 4x4, front diff exploded and quit pulling the truck about 4 miles later. Now both of the driveshafts can spin freely and the truck don't move.

The rear diff on my 04 CC decided to crap out on me. So that leads me to this question since s10 4x4 rears are like hens teeth out here.
