They did away with the AWD, from what I understand, to many problems with the front drive train. It is a 2WD truck sitting on a 4x4 chassis and lowered 1" in front and 2" in back from a regular 4x4. The truck hauls though, much nicer ride than the crew had.CrazyChaz wrote:Sweet Truckis it AWD or 2wd?

Sold my crew
Well, I hit the local Chevy dealership a couple weeks ago to look at a Silverado SS before committing to getting a Sierra with the Special Edition package, with my Dad’s employee discount and the current rebates I ended up leaving with this. http://img24.imagevenue.com/loc91/th_71630_DSCN1873.JPG So...

My crew is finally broke in!!!
Well, after 4.5 years of ownership, my crew is finally broke in as I have crossed over the 100K mile mark. This has been the best vehicle I have owned to date and I love this truck, unfortunately, it's days are numbered. My work will only give me a truck allowance for vehicles under 5 years old, so ...

This sounds exactly like the problem that I had last month. My truck had the same code and was idling very rough and sputtered bad when you would take off from a stop. Changed the plugs, wires, distributer cap, cleaned the injectors, and it still ran bad. Finally determined the distributer was bad, ...

Mine has the exact same problem that started around February. BigFitz, Nice truck. The pre body pics are just the lift I am looking for. Did you have your 31's on before the body lift? Pete Yes I did, but I would not recommend that to anyone. You have to adjust the torsion bars all the way in the front to get clearance then you have front suspension issues. N...

Re: Questions about add a leaf and t-bar crank
I have a Pro Comp add a leaf on my truck and I got the low end, about 1.5" out of mine. You will notice a significant amount more stiffness in the rear of the truck than the front of the truck. The stiffness is not that bad, but if you are looking for a softer ride the other leaf kit or longer shack...

Rear Pinion Oil Seal
Has anybody had problems with the pinion oil seal leaking on the rear axle? My truck has 56,000 miles on it and is about to have it replaced for the second time now. The first time it happened everything was still stock, I am not convinced bigger tires or an add-a-leaf would have anything to do with...

I did the torsion bars and add-a-leaf first, but when I put the body lift on was the big difference. I actually lowered the front torsion bars a bit closer to stock to recover some of the stock ride quality in the front since before the lift I had them adjusted as high as they would go. My front sit...

Driving light replacement
Thanks Doc, that is what I did. I replaced my driving light 881's with a pair of 889's with the Xenon gas on E-Bay for $17 shipped. From what I understand, the 881's and 889's are interchangeable. Those in combination with my Sylvania Silverstars, WOW what a difference.
