Re: How can I tell if 4x4 is engauged ?
I kind of had this same problem last year with the buttons sticking. I popped out the control panel and cleaned the contacts and buttons with contact cleaner and have not had a problem since.

Re: Get rid of your DEX fluid
After trying to flush it out twice I gave up and just changed the radiator and hose and thermostat out. Radiator new was only $129. I figured by the time I took it into the shop for them to flush I was money ahead. It only took me an hou tto change out.

Re: Get rid of your DEX fluid
I flushed the system out 3 times, then changed out the radiator. I fully expect to end up changing the heater core at some point. The indication (besides visual) that this was happening was my tranny would vent a small amount of fluid at the end of a 25 mile ride home when it was hot out. Been divin...

Get rid of your DEX fluid
I saw an old post about what happens to old DEX in your radiator so I thought I would post this pic of my radiator before I changed it out this weekend.

Re: Transmission vent tube 2002 crew
Thanks for the reply Bill: I am hoping the problem is not that bad. Yet! I bought the ruck 2 years ago from a relative with 75,000 on it and it has been a great truck. Have 91,000 on it now and it is my daily driver. I am hoping by changing out all fluids (which I should have done when I first got i...

Re: Transmission vent tube 2002 crew
Positive it is for the trans but guess while I'm under there the transfer case fluid should get changed out also. Just did a new diff seal and fluid last week, the seal blew out and what looked like chocolate milk was on my garage floor also relocated the diff vent tube. New fuel pump last month, 90...

Re: Transmission vent tube 2002 crew
Thanks for the quick reply. Fluid level is good but while looking around today noticed that my radiator hasn't been flushed in what looks like since new. I'm wondering if that my be also causing the tranny to overheat. Has been 90+ temps here in Minnesota for the past month. Thinking flush and refil...

Transmission vent tube 2002 crew
New user here. great site.
I noticed A small drip from what I think is a vent tube on top of the transmission on the drivers side. any ideas of what may be causing this?
