Problem with gas pedal

Anybody ever had problems with their gas pedal sticking? I was driving down the road the other day, someone cuts me off, I let off the gas and immediatly to the brake. After that I tried to give it some gas, and the gas pedal felt like it was stuck and couldn't push it down. I didn't know what cause...

Thankfully I am able to jump across the border into Oklahoma, where gas is still $1.66/gal. Have a feeling it wont stay that way for long. 25 mi away in NW Arkansas it has been around $1.90/gal what adifference 25 miles makes.

manual 4wd switch

I have seen the manual pull switches for 4wd in JC Whitney and have considered getting one. If I install one does that disable the 4wd buttons, or are they still useable? I have had trouble with the buttons in the past, and I would just like a little reassurance that if I need 4wd I will have it. An...

Do you use the spray on brake cleaner? I used to use that stuff and that glazed the rotors on my old mustang I used to have.

I will keep my cc for as long as it keeps running. 2001 w/ 24k miles, I don't haul much, no kids so it has plenty of room for my junk, I couldn't be happier with it.

The guy told me that it was a smittybilt outlander (I think he meant outland I can't find an outlander) but I dont see what the difference would be. His truck is an 01 ex-cab not a zr, mine is a 01 cc.

Dumb Question (about Brushguard)

Noticed a brush guard for sell in my local paper for a s10. I called the guy and he said it came off of his 01 ex-cab, I told him I have a crew and he said it would not fit the crew, said mounting is different. Is this true cause I've never heard of that before.

Actually my truck is under warranty however due do a lack of chevy dealerships in my area (dealerships that will fix problems) I usually try to fix the problem if I can first. If not then take it 80 miles away to get fixed !

I have tried to shift when I am moving, stopped, put it in neutral and nothing. I had been under the impression that I should be moving when I try to shift into 4hi, but I have tried everything and so far no luck. I will try the codes tonight

4x4 problems

My truck will not shift into 4hi. 2hi works great, 4lo works great however 4 hi will not engage. fluids look fine, fuses fine, button flashes like it wants to engage but always goes back to 2hi. Could it be the button, or worse ?

recalls

Since I bought my 2001 CC used in 2003, how can I find out if any recalls were ever performed before I owned the truck. What (if any) realls have the 2001's had. And Lastly, If recalls were not performed what can I do about it now that is 2-3 years later? Thanks Guys

I'm surprised nobody carries an air compresser. I have a cheap wal-mart, plug into the cig. lighter one. Its not the greatest, however it saved my butt one time so I consider its paid for itself.

cb options

I own a 2001 s10 crew cab and wanted to mount a cb in it. Although I don't use the ashtray, I did not just want to chunk it. I removed the cassette player in the floor console, by removing the cover pushing down on two thumb clips and removing two screws. A small radio shack or cobra cb will fit in ...
