Re: Body/Interior Stuff - Preventing Rust, Seat Upgrade ?s,
there was also another member here that grabbed the rear panels from I believe a 95-97 4 door blazer, made a tool to melt the plastic on the back to remove the "leather" part and put it on his door panels. I never tried it, but did find the panels, have them in the shed, it looks like it'd work fin...

CrewCab Rear Door Panel - Bravada Inserts
I'm pretty sure this has been done before, but I've yet to see a write up on it. I own an 04 CrewCab ZR5. My 04 came with leather interior, but did not have the leather door panels like you would see in the Bravada's or high end Jimmy's. The front's are easy enough to swap out, but what about the r...

Re: Bravada axle - eliminating the split front axle shaft
Thanks for the insight - I was asking for someone I recently sold a Bravada Shaft to. I am weeks from starting a SFA on my crew so my bravado shaft and tube along with my back-up shaft and tube will soon be up for sale. You Too!? Awesome - same here! It seems like everyones goin SFA lately. I'm stil...

Re: Bravada axle - eliminating the split front axle shaft
Been running a Bravada tube and shaft since before the MML and love it. used a brass threaded cap (think it was from the plumbing section at the hardware store) over the "FWD engaged sensor". tore out the vacuum lines and actuator. only thing i did was trim the shaft on the diff end, read somewhere...

Re: Goin SFA - Tons of IFS, 4x4, & ZR2 Goodies!
Found a Waggy D44 in the yards today - complete. $189 for everything - problem is, it has the disconnect in it. Is there an easy way to get rid of that (I.E. just install the non-disconnect shaft and rip out the vacuum crap? Or maybe splurge and get the chromo axles altogether?) Or is there more to ...

Re: Goin SFA - Tons of IFS, 4x4, & ZR2 Goodies!
Holy axle trusses!! Well that certainly is a way to beef up a D30. My only concern with that is clearance. Especially since I'm going spring under for the front - trussing to that extent could create some issues. I'm going for the look that 02Crewcab from s10forum's truck has. His setup is still fai...

Re: Goin SFA - Tons of IFS, 4x4, & ZR2 Goodies!
It's settled then 4.10's. Found a lot of threads on the D30 and many users on different forums have said the D30 is too weak and not worth building. Anyone here running a D30? I'm not a hardcore wheeler by any means, but knowing my rig could handle Moab would be a plus. The general consensus is to g...

Re: Goin SFA - Tons of IFS, 4x4, & ZR2 Goodies!
Hmmm - maybe I should consider getting the 4.10 Isuzu rear - that would allow me the option of using a D30...HenryJ wrote:IMO 3.73 or 4.10 is the best choice for 33" tires.

Re: Goin SFA - Tons of IFS, 4x4, & ZR2 Goodies!
not sure if you know but all waggy d44's are LP. Dana 30's are cheap but i would stay away from getting one, if you do go for a '96 or new xj d30. it has the bigger ujoints and the 1 piece passanger axle shaft. Hit me up for SFA info if you need, ill share the wisdom. /end of thread jack haha Yes s...

Re: Goin SFA - Tons of IFS, 4x4, & ZR2 Goodies!
Cool. I'll have to check out pirate. I don't necessarily need a built one - just a complete stock assembly with the knuckles and steering linkage - It would to need to be regeared anyway to match the Isuzu rear 4.30's. I'm going with the Isuzu rear vice the ZR2 rear mainly b/c the Isuzu rear is alre...

Re: Goin SFA - Tons of IFS, 4x4, & ZR2 Goodies!
Indeed it is - would have to ship it freight - and that could be a hassle. Where in IL are you located? That is the exact setup I'm looking for too for the front. Just curious - what were you looking to get for it?

Re: ZR2 axle swap
Yes sir - I'm in the process of doing this as well. I found a '96 iron front diff, and a '99 ZR2 rear in the yards a little while ago - just dropped them off today at Pro Gear to swap in a donor 3.73 ring and pinion for the front and complete inspection for the rear. I'll let you know how much that ...

Re: What did you get your CC for xmas?
So I have kind of a dumb question about your flares... Do the Bushwhacker flares allow the same extended clearance as the SKIDZ flares? (you know - cutting out sheet metal and all?) I'd like to be able to clear some bigger tires in the future, so I may invest in some to accommodate the MML since the...
