First of all, I had the right kit, but an old version of the instructions (98-01, 24 pages). PA e-mailed me the latest instructions (98-03, 31 pages) on Friday. (Anybody that wants the instruction PDF file, e-mail me and they are yours.) FYI folks, I've still been getting requests for this PDF file...

I think Hobie and Mark are thinking you mean minor lift, without using the Trailmaster lift. The TM lift basically drops your whole front end down with spacers. Depending on how you set your t-bars with it, you get up to 5". I think TM figures about 4" with the drop and 1" by t-bar reindexing. It wo...

I'll post my new height measurements here in a little while after I get outside. Finally got around to taking new measurements. Both sides of the front measured 20.5". Both sides of the rear measured 22.25". These are from dead center of the wheel center cap (middle of the M in GMC) to the lip of t...

Re: Bouncy ride after TB crank?
It is correct that by adjusting ("cranking") the T-bar you turn both ends of the bar the same amount, and the spring rate does not increase or decrease. However the mechanical advantage applied to the spring (T-bar) decreases as the A-arm is rotated downward, and increases as it is lowered to the p...

It is your shocks. Reindexing the t-bar does nothing to the firmness of the ride, unless you crank it to the point that you are "topped out" and I don't think the stock porkchop has that capability. You have done nothing to the bar other than rotate both ends. When you adjust your t-bar, as you turn...

A few months ago (its posted here somewhere) I had the driver-side outer boot sling out all its grease. I cranked the t-bars back down when I took it into the dealer, and they replaced the boot under warranty. (The boot reportedly had no tear or crack, just "defective", but they never saw the crank....

I'm putting this under the Mods page because it will be different with a lifted crew than stock. Anybody got any guidelines as to headlight aiming?
