Re: Optima , Odyssey, Deka, Battery information
I ended up getting one of the Optimas, intended for my truck, but the GTI battery died first. So now its in there. I got it for less than $150 shipped on Amazon.com Took a week to get here with free shipping but since I have the two vehicles no big deal.

My radio in my 02' was stuck also. I gave it a good yank and some plastic bracket on the back busted. Its okay, because the aftermarket radio didnt need this part for installation.

Re: Installing ZR-2 or ZR5 Fenders/flares
Well the ZR-2 flares option is out, for what its worth with trying to find all of those parts intact on a junk yard vehicle and then doing all the work isnt fitting my bill. I probably would have to get the whole front outer clip. From what I saw when I was studying my friends GMC version is the front bumper is different too. Re: Installing ZR-2 or ZR5 Fenders/flares
So 500 for skidz, I can probably get the ZR-2 parts alot cheaper from the junkie but I would only be looking at doing the front of the truck, because we all know it doesn't really work for the rear without heavy modifications. Id go with the separate set of wheels and tires option but I have zero ro...

How much more over the stock fender will the Skidz give me? Thanks to the stupid design of these axles my fronts stick out much farther than the rears, so I really dont care about the rear. Installing ZR-2 or ZR5 Fenders/flares
I need large fender flares on the front of my CC because of my poor selection in fancy wheels leaves me with tires extruding from my front fenders and failing NJ inspection, and destroying the sides of my truck with mud dirt rocks and anything I run over. Wider wheels hitting fenders...
Okay so I got a set of new wheels for my crew, finally had them put on two weeks ago and now I'm finally here to report about the instant problem they caused, rubbing into my fenders. I bought them online and they were probably the only style in the 15 inch size that I liked. I had to buy 15 inch wh...

Re: Tracking radio and HAM radio install in my '03

Re: Dual exhaust vs single
hahahha I like that idea! Tons of power, 26mpg in a CC? Ill go for it. It will be on par with my GTI then which gets about 26-28 city and 30-32 on long highway trips @ 80mph. Then the S10 might have a fighting chance for me to try and figure out which car im going to drive.

Re: Dual exhaust vs single
L31 vortec? Oh boy. Im happy with my 4.3 I have always had them in the S trucks and its good enough for my farting around. But then again this motor has 211k on it and still going strong. If it does fail one day maybe a swap will be in place but for now its to prove to my father my crap GM with TLC ...

Hahah Yea not with thouse giant mudders on there. Ill have to go pick up that muffler and bring it down to the shop and see what they can do. Id like to have pipes straight out the back like everyone in florida does. How are yours set up? Looks like they point down the sides similar to stock?

Re: Dual exhaust vs single
Ok I am definatly doing the same system as what is in the video there haha. Thats exactly the sound I am looking for in my truck. Did you install that yourself or was it a cat back kit you could by? I am looking for something I can just bolt on myself since lack of welding skills.

Re: Fuel Back flow prevention
OK So my CC has this problem. I have to double crank it almost every time I go to start it now. Is there a better fuel pump to get? The current one only has about 20-30k on it and is no more than 2 years old. I really am not looking forward to paying $360 bucks for another new sending unit/fuel pump...

Re: any idea how to get rid of this noise?
Hes right pretty sure thats your bearings man. My truck did exactly the same thing turned out to be right front bearing. If the sound gets worse/goes away on hard turns then its most definatly a bearing. I would not hesitate to have these replaced...

Re: sub box
Im gonna try to do it soon now that the weather is warmer. Ill defiantly post pics when I get it done. For now the inverter sits in the hole, it fits perfectly, and i have the cable just comming out next to it. Very convient for charging laptops, phones plugging anything you feel like plugging in to...

Re: sub box
That box looks like a sweet fit! 12"? Nice install. My alpine has a aux plug in too, but it's on the rear of the unit. Maybe if I ever wanna plug in my iPhone I'll run a short male to female cable through the dash to utilize it. Beat it sounds nice! If I was gonna upgrade that's what I would do! Bu...

^^ Ditto x 3. Not saying the people you have giving you advice are trying to mess with you. But they don't seen to know enough about EFI to give good advice. Is the key trick still working? Chris. Oh yea, key trick doesnt work anymore..... but it definatly doesnt hold pressure. Every time you turn ...

Re: Still takes forever to crank over...
The injector was infact bad, which is why it was changed. It was pouring fuel out instead of actually injecting it. MY mechanic said the regulator was FINE. My two friends however, say otherwise. I trust my mechanic and you guys a bit more. Did your cat get replaced under warranty? You do know that ...

Re: Still takes forever to crank over...
With a fuel pressure guage attached to the schrader valve and the system primed (key on, engine off), how long does it take for the pressure to bleed down? If it takes several minutes you are ok, however if it drops right away, you need a new fuel pump. Steve Wish i had the tools for that an...

Re: sub box
I just installed my 6.5 100w bazooka behind the seat of my crew. It fit perfectly and the sound quality and volume totally blew me away for something thats ONLY 100 watts. With a build in amp and everything, the price was right. I paid about $180 for it with shipping.
