Whenever I travel to Michigan I always see the 3rd doors rotted on the S10s. I would try to pick one up from out of state that is clean. Thanks for the info. I was on Summit racing last night and saw a few systems I liked, one from Magnaflow but they said in the specs that it only fits crew cabs with Z85 suspension? I know the ZR5 had different shocks but is that what they mean?

That would be just fine! Do they still have the tweeters in them? I just need the metal plates that held the tweeters not the plastic dash covers. If the tweeters are still in there thats a plus I can use their pigtails to make a wire harness.

Humm no swelling but after having it on the charger today for the hour or so it only had 12.10 volts with the multimeter. Sounds like a dead one to me. The GTI tests at 13.50 with the engine off.

The only way to get it to scan EU stations would be to actually get an EU unit. I think the chipsets are actually different which do the tuning. A pioneer tech would probably know more about it

Haha! Thanks! I just kept laughing here, I can take two 65lbs starters out of a CAT 16 cyl twin turbo diesel engine in a locomotive with zero experience but my father who's worked on hundreds of cars couldn't get a starter out of an S10!

Take a picture of the one you have and send it to me. the RDS versions came in trucks after 2002/03 usually models featuring onstar if i recall correctly. The difference is the plugs on the back are totally different.

Pulled the gauge cluster apart today and going to possibly test tomorrow. I dont see anything right away that looks like its been poorly soldered. When I find the solution if there are steps needed to make a repair Ill be sure to post on here and maybe we can make a page for it.

Thats what I thought. I recall when my father and I replaced the driver side bearing on my CC we didnt use any pullers, just an impact gun? I wanted to do it this weekend, but maybe not. The grinding/vibration is so bad it sounds like a freight train thats been doing a lot of braking in a rainstorm....

The above info is for replacing just the bearing itself? What would be required to change an entire hub assembly? Another project that has to be completed on project blazer for my friend. I have the whole hub/bearing assembly with the speed sensor.

I also have a 6.5 inch bazooka, definatly a great upgrade for the CC. the 6.5 inch model fits behind the seat with NO modification. I recommend the 250W Class D version if you really want to crank the tunes, but the 100W basic version is fine for the casual listener who wants a concert like clarity.
