Thanks for the info. I will go lube up my torsion bar sockets. As for an even amount of wear on the tires... maybe not. I just had my tires rotated but I should have done it a long time ago. They might have different wear. :oops:

They're made by a company called Manik. I bought them on Ebay. From what I remember they weren't easy to find. Check Manik's website (or websites which sell Manik equipment) and Ebay. I'm not sure if they are discontinued or not.

Thanks! The guy just spray painted it with latex paint or whatever. It looks fine in the pictures but in person you can really tell it's just spray paint. I'm going to get it professionally painted with auto body paint to match the truck. A couple of my friends suggested the lit license plate frames...

Have you done any panic stops lately that engaged the ABS? Steve I don't really recall. Why do you ask? What I'm trying to figure out is if the ABS and E-brake light occurrence is in any way related to the horribly annoying thud that has been coming from what seems like the front-right wheel area.

Wheel speed sensor? Is in the front hub. Check the wire and connections first. Then pull the sensor from the front hub. They can fill up with metal when a wheel bearing is going bad. ABS light is on...

My ABS and break light are staying on sometimes when my truck is on. Could this be related to the programmer? I am not experiencing any problems other than the lights themselves.

Success!

I changed my octane to 93, I changed the tire size to 32.75" and I chose firmer shifting (it's really noticeable!).

When I installed the radio, from what I remember, it was simply unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one (inside the dash). I didn't mess with any fuses.

Alright. I removed the fuse for the radio. However, neither the fuel gauge nor the odometer work when I take the radio fuse out. Is this normal? Should I proceed with the programming even though this is happening?

I just called Hypertech. Like I assumed, they asked for my name, among other things. It made it kind of awkward because I couldn't lie to the man. He insisted I wasn't the original owner. Oh well. I told him about the "7E" code. He said it was electrical interference. He told me to have my radio off...

I did do it with the door open today, but no lights were on what-so-ever. Also, last night I tried with the door closed. I got the same results each time.

I will post the results after I talk to Hypertech on Tuesday.

My truck looked just like yours! I even had grass hanging off the grille guard too. Like I said, I sprayed all of it off. :roll: As for the following pictures - I used to get my four-wheeler that dirty when I had it, but I don't want my truck that dirty! I like trail-riding, not mud bogging! :wink:

I forgot to mention: later that night, to celebrate, I went off-roading with a buddy of mine and got the rig covered in mud. :rock:

It did surprisingly well on some difficult trails compared to my friend's 1500 Ram.

I threw out the bracket. Because of the position I installed the radio, the bracket was not needed. When you completely remove the ash tray, all you need to do is file (or cut if you choose) a little plastic lip, and the radio will fit very snugly in that position. I think the junk yard is your best bet. Most of the S10/Blazers I looked at in the yards where I live still had all of the center console parts and in pretty good condition too.
