Re: PIAA 525 wiring.... INSTALLED! Pictures and info inside!
Hey guys. Thought I'd dig this old thread up. Playing with my lights today, I was trying to reinstall the quad beams and have them work in conjunction with with piaa fog/driving lights. The wire I was using to trigger the piaa lights was the same yellow wire used for the quad beams going to contact ...

Yeah, they lasted a while though. I bough some Phillip 9011s on amazon tonight, and some PIAA wiper blades. In all honesty if we weren't about to add an addition to the house, which I think will be more tha our budget so don't know how that'll work out, I'd trade up for a newer truck. But I'll keep ...

Re: High beams just died, but High beam indicator constantly
Checked fuses. Good. Relay under hood, replaced it, didn't solve the problem. Didn't see how the multifunction could be the problem if the relay was working. Pulled both bulbs. Both blown. 0_o I guess one blew, and maybe it overloaded the other and fried it? But luckily it was simple. I can see the ...

Re: High beams just died, but High beam indicator constantly
Yeah, I'll give the fuses a better going over tomorrow in the daylight. Check the bulbs. I feel it has to be a relay or something since that high beam light is constantly on... But who knows. Fog lights won't come on either, but that's o be expected if the system thinks the high beams are on.... Won...

I did the quad light mod, but removed it when I added pia dual beam fog/driving lights. They actually stops working a while ago and I never looked into it. They just tap into the stock wiring (soldered) and have their own relays. I'll check that Reed. I checked some fuses but saw nothing... Disconne...

Here's a crazy one. Pulling into the alley I hit my high beams, they both are on for a second or two, then they both die. I flip them off, the high beam indicator is still on, but luckily the low beams still work. Flip back to high beams, nothing, back to low and those work, high beam indicator cons...

Good info. I went to advance looking for a tool weeks ago, they looked at me like a deer in headlights. Said they didn't have that.
I got some some hose clamps, but the locking/screw part rubbed against the boot, and would wore into after a while.

Hmm. I'll check that. The marks on the disc are like C shaped. All over the disc, no just one spot incase it's warped. So it seems to me (doesn't mean much) the pads or dragging so something with the caliper must be amiss. Idk, I'll have dad look too, hes more knowledgable.

Well. The page didn't load for me, but I'm assuming what you linked is the non fog light one. Those can be had every where. The clears with fog lights. You can't find. The ones I did buy was on eBay. I'm not sure if they are still on there, but those were the only ones i could find on the net. I'm i...

Consider what I said in our correspondences. The money youll sink into it could go a long ways else where.

To anybody that adapted and mounted an OEM fan. LS x, etc.
I haven't had a problem without a gasket. Because of the ac lines? Above the radiator it is hard sliding it in there, like I said I bent some fins, but once in place, I don't see issues. But iv been wrong. lol. I have no clue when my fans are at 60 or 100%, wish there was a led to tell. But if you c...

http://forums.s-10crewcab.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7993 One of my LONG install threads. Pics on page 2. I didn't use a gasket or anything, just slide it in there. Tight fit. Bent some fins on the outside doing so. One of my motors went bad, out of balance. The fan was mounted slightly loosely, that m...

Tips for winning car shows?
Since you mentioned high school competition.. Lots of stickers. More stickers more points. And a big gaudy wing. Oh and weld on a Maxwell house coffee can for the exhaust tip.
lol, in all seriousness I haven't a clue. Just a nice, clean vehicle?

Don't get all butt hurt, it's the Internet. Brule is has a wealth of knowledge available to the members here. Sometimes he can seem brash, but it's more to get the point across to imply it's importance. Sounds like a pain in the butt problem, but from few s10 websites iv been on, they are full of yo...

Things that should be banned while driving
Talking on a phone... Depends on the person some can and most can't. Usually those people can't drive without one anyways. But as for texting,,, if you do that you should be kicked in the teeth. I use to when I had a actual keypad. I memorized it, I could text without looking. So it, in my opinion, ...

I did it, Finally buried my CC up to the axles
It's funny, I thought I was in 4wd many times, only later to find out I wasn't... One time in particular. I went down this semi steep moist dirt logging road by accident. It ha a wide curve. Didn't go but 100 yards or less to discover it was blocked. All I did was spine. Front tires didn't do a thin...

If understand right, you didn't try to put it in 4wd till you were stuck? If so you likely weren't in 4wd, the vehicle has to be moving in order for the pin in to engage in the front diff and give ya 4wd. Though, I thought my 4wd wasn't working and turns out all 3 screws ripped out from the actuator...

Things that should be banned while driving
We all know about cell phones and texting while driving. But a few weeks ago I came across a driver who was all over the road, worst then any person on a cell phone iv ever seen. Now it's not PC I'm sure, but this women was fanatically signing (sign language) to her young child. Doing about 80 hands...

Newbie Stereo advice
Installing a new head unit isn't a big deal. The depth is deeper then my old 97 s10, which needed a install kit that stuck out about and inch. You still need a install kit, as the stock stereo is larger. http://imageevent.com/rc_racer_007/s10lift Go there picture 38 has some of my old stereo in it, ...

Bin Laden is dead!
Without sounding like a conspiracy theory nut... I had a feeling he may have already been dead. Even if not, obamas rating is at the lowest point, gas going back up, coming up on 10 years since 9/11, then we finally nail the #1 douchebag. Then throw him over board a few hours later with zero evidenc...

Eh, I know I searched it before and it was like 9600... Oh well... Maybe the milage mattered, I searched 120k miles mistakingly. Oh well. That didn't have much to do with the real question at hand. Edit, ya, at 120k miles it's a bit more then at 160k miles. Any ways any info on what to check out on ...
