The guys I know said they where never right after the lift. Creeking moaning and groaning, Mpg, speed, things broke all the time. They just were never right. The three I have as friends wish they never did the lift.
But that is just the 7 or 8 people that I know.

I had the very same problem... I fixed it by unplugging the temp sender plug and cleanning the conection. When I unplugged it, it was not plugged in all the way. I think I knocked it loose when I changed the spark plug wires.

Yes the yellow is the only wire hooked up. The other wire is low speed.

Looks very good. I just don't know why so much is different. But I'm so glad it worked out for you.
You should have no problems with running hot now. Mine never gets over 200 and most all the time it stays at 190 to 195.
Pulling my bass boat at 70 to 80 mph it gets up to 200.

When you did the intake gaskets was the best time to rid the dex.

The wires you need are the yellow and black. That is the high speed. The tan wire is the low speed and you don't need it. The vsc has a red and black. So the red goes to the yellow and the black goes to the black. There is a wire diogram that comes with the vsc.

Yes I see the wires. Now that I look at it I remembered... See the mounting tabs on the sides? You have to cut them off. Just make a strait cut on them. Then you are good to go.

That is the fan I have. The weight of the fan pulls down. The tong in the bottom holds it from pulling back and the bolts and washers hold the top. Then the stock shrould goes over the top to keep it from going anywhere. It has been in my truck for about a year now. I run dirt roads at 60 and 70 mph...

I picked the intrepid fan because it fits like it is made for our trucks. It is a duel two speed fan. Some guys like the Ford Taurus fan. It is a single two speed fan. It fits good too. It will fit just like the stock one.
Yes I think you will be good to go with just the radiator as long as your clutch is still good on your fan.... The thermostat will help too.

I went to an E-fan when I did the body lift. The clutch fan sitting two inches lower is just not as efficient. I have one pop rivit at the bottom and body seam glue to seal it. I used tuch up paint just for the cut part. I used a body saw for the out side and a saw zal for the inside.

I can't run any bigger tires as I pull a bass boat and it would kill my gear. I like to run 75 to 80 mph. I have 373's....
