That doesn't sound too bad considering the size/weight. Better than I've been getting in my CC lately anyway. MPG is always a concern but we have no illusions about economy in a 5.3L. i hava a silverado crew cab 07 with 5.3 3.73 gears 4x4 new body style also have 33's and leveling kit i avg 15 on daily driving and 18 on the highway as far as the AFM i doesnt work very often beacuse of the 33's if i does cut in it only stays in for 5 to 10 seconds and as far as the oil consumption...

search ... Towing or large payloads with spacers? that should give u the answer i dont think youll have a problem as long as u stay with in what the trucks towing capacity

may be ok if there isnt much stoping and going just keep the truck in 3rd .....and if your going to be towing it alot a aux transmission cooler would be a good thing to do

+1 on the MML i wanted to do a suspension lift on my truck bad when i had it but decide to go with the MML if 33 inch tires wont get you through it you probly dont need to be there lol

yeah ive done alot of reading on the afm some seem to have problems and some dont i guess u got a good one or a bad one . and it doesnt really work anymore because of the bigger tires it stays in v8 mode 95% of the time and gas millage it around 15 or so for a average

the active fuel management where it shuts down 4 cyl on the highway it doesnt do it much anymore because of the bigger tires it stays in 8 cyl most of the time but ima do the banks ram air intake and maybe a edge programmer

so sold the crew a few months ago and bought a 07 silverado crew z71 just finished my lift rims ant tires i did a 2.25 inch ready lift leveling kit 18x9 xd rims and nitto trail grapplers 33x12 heres a pic and straight pipe exhaust sounds wicked.. very loud lol :rock: http://i293.photobucket.com/albu...

Probly wont buy another set in some ways they are worth it like for the looks and not many people have them so they really stand out I thing they are better suited for a off roader with the occasional drive down the high way not on a daily driver like my crew tires really kick a** though just not on...

u can set one of the patterns where its just the left ones that flash and the other stay on and same for the right side im sure theres a way that u can wire them so they work with yout turn sigals

yes were allowed to have just 2 red lights but still have to obey all traffic laws its more of a safty thing for when were parked on the side of the road at a call

lights are supposed to be here this coming up week i have to run 2 power cables from the power supply which will be inside the cab to the battery and 2 more from the lights to the inside of the cab anyone know a easy way to run wires through the fire wall?

yeah it would be nice if they get it figured out cause then would have a much cheeper lift option if u run a 2 inch body lift and this 2.5 inch lift u could get allmost 5 inches which would be alot cheeper than buying the BDS or the superlift kits

i eneded up going with some lights from speed tech lighting i ordered 2 red lights for the front and 4 ambers for the back window the 2 for the front are gona mount to the brush guard for the swithes i made a plate to mount over the cd case holder will post pics when i get them all installed lights ...

i had a flowmaster 40 before i went with the y pipe sounds great with that just wasnt loud enough for me the y pipe sounds the best to me it gives u a deep tone as long as u keep it under 2000 rpm"s about 2000 it starts to sound like a v6 but still deeper than u would expect but mine is fairly loud ...

replaced air filter and changed oil today while under it i checked out the exhaust didnt see any problems there air filter was nasty but truck is still running the same . . once i get to 70mph thats about it . . runs great till it gets to 70 just no more after that o2 sensors havent been in to long ...

so im comeing home the other day in the crew towing my trailer down the highway its a 6x10 enclosed trailer truck is in over drive and my truck starts to slow down so i start giving it more gas so it drops out of OD and tach is reading 3000 rpm still slowing down then the check engine light came on ...

yes u will be able to use your stock rims i managed to get by with running 31x10.50"s on 15x8 rims with 5.5 inch back spacing i have the MML but with no finder cuts also check out the readers ride thread i beleave its under the N.O.S section

it runs wide open alot better which is why my 0-60 was faster u do lose some low end but not enough to worry about didnt notice any lose but im sure it did due to the fact that its so free flowing now but over all runs better and is cheeper than any other over rated mufflers like flowmaster magnaflo...

update got about 7,000 miles on the claws now been rotateing them every 1500 to 2000 miles probly at about 85-90% tread now i can see geting about 30,000 miles out of them as far as the noise goes there starting to get a little louder which is expected with a tire like this nothing better than a goo...

need to raise the rear of the crew i sit 1 1/2 inches higher in the front need to level it out some but really dont wana do the add a leaf to the rear so shackles in the rear seem the way to go but i do a fair amout of towing and have read that towing with shackles isnt the best thing so my question...

my boss has these tires on his jeep they were also 31x10.50 seemed to be a good tire hes had the jeep for 6 months or so and no tread were has shown they do ride good.... like hj said theere kinda a combmitation of a AT and a MT do have a slight humm on pavement but u probly wont hear to much of tha...

there load range C i aired down to 25psi cause i usually dont let any air out when i go on the beach but i was on organ inlet in Nags Head North Carolina the sand was really soft there this year people were getn stuck left and right but aired them down to 25 and never had a problem

just rotated tires had been 1700 miles no wear yett just heard the more u rotate them the better also will have them in the sand one day this week and plan to air them down to 20psi or so cause the sand here is soft this year i have heard

no muffler at all ..just both the cats.. after the main cat its 2.5 inch pipe all the way back to a y pipe just before the axel back to 4 inch tips turned at 90 degrees behide both rear tires

yeah u keep the rpm's down below 2000 its sounds great.... between 2500 and 3500 its ok but above 3500 is when it starts screaming sounds nasty

u can still just cut the stock muffler out and put a single pipe in place of it . . heres mine with a y pipe heres a sound clip sound clip doesent do it justice its alot deeper in person

haha maybe 5 inch bds lift in the future not sure yet its my DD so gota keep it getting somewhat decent gas milage its bad enough as it is

im lucky i guess ive got a great exhaust shop close by its just a local place they had my muffler out and a y pipe in in less than 20 min
