Re: Nearing completion of a big crew lift < need help with t
The ICV valve replacement fixes the cracked filler neck on the plastic tanks. Was a great solution for me and others. There’s a company making metal replacements for the plastic tanks but the cost is high.

Re: 2004 Fuel Tank
I believe this is a long term solution for the filler neck failure on the plastic tanks.
FUEL TANK INLET CHECK VALVE (ICV) is what to search for.
I received mine from www.ellisautomationsolutions.com
It’s totally fixed my fuel leak.

Used stock 10bolt originally and kept the stock driveshaft.
Used a dana30 LP up front it was from a grand Cherokee and it required a new driveshaft
I had a local shop rebuild a junkyard front shaft.

I hated body lifts!!! Right up until it was required to clear the tires I wanted to run Now I'm not sure I will ever not have one. They make virtually every aspect of maintenance easier. I didn't do anything to keep the shaft from moving. I was concerned about the shaft bottoming out so on the outer end I trimmed the shaft at the C clip. Ran the whiz out of it, flexed the whiz out of it in Moab never had issues. The shaft would find the Bottom of the CV cup on one end and the cross ...

Re: ZR5 wheels
just got a greyhound quote from Or to VA of $45 and 4 days transit time per box so that's no better than fedex, waiting on quotes for LTL carriers

My 2003 CC
Should have just started a thread first. instead of adding to others or gumming up the sight with a bunch of posts. So I'm: SFA D30/8.8 going to D44/8.8 Swapping in a 231 w/a short shaft (was originally for a reg cab short bed S10) had exhaust done adding 4.56's replacing the lockright in the 8.8 wi...

Re: manual transfer case swap??
should have been installing a 231 in my CC today but, I'm not starting until all parts are in hand. Fastenal ordered the wrong parts for the console so here I am burning a weekend on a already tight (for me) schedule.

Re: ZR5 wheels
Rates thru ups to VA or OH we're both 51 per box with one wheel inside. FedEx was 43 to a residence and 38 to a FedEx location ( Kinko's copy/ fedex office). Will check with work on freight prices through LTL carriers

Re: Read driveshaft
It's a jbconverstions super short, was going into a reg can short bed but that's been shelved. Has 1310 CV on front and rear outputs. Rear axle is a 8.8 large flange 1 piece measured out at 64.75 yesterday when I mocked it up. Driveline guy flipped out rotational mass and tube dia. Tom Woods was mor...

Re: Read driveshaft
I'm at 64.75 in yoke to flange..... That crazy long the local driveline guy was not into it at all.... So can a guy run a standard 1310 tube yoke and joint using u joint u bolt straps? The joint is the same size, the difference is the CV yoke has smooth holes requiring a nut to retain the strap, and...

Re: Read driveshaft
1 pc would have fewer points to fail... But is wicked long and most shops are saying 3.5 or4" tube
Was wondering if making it a 2 pc might give me fewer things to catch the underbelly on and allow a smaller dia tube
I would end up having to change yokes too as mine currently is a 1310cv yoke
