It is possible there was a factory defect that was repaired before it even reached the dealer.
The light pewter color is very tricky. There are nine variations on the same paint code. (mine was variation #2).
The color seems to change at different angles, looking lighter straight-on and darker when viewed at an angle.
Personally ,knowing how hard it was to get a reasonable match when my hood was painted, I'd leave it alone.
I believe the paint is covered for defects and degradation, but not to match exactly

The best you could expect done , if you were to demand warranty work, would be to get a new paint job. It would not be as good as the original paint is now.
