For you guys with the G80 locker, how does it react driving in the snow?

I've never got stuck with mine and frankly I don't put it into 4WD all that often...really deep snow or ice. I like it.

I don't know how much of it actually comes from the G80 but, I have never driven a vehicle that handles better in ice/snow conditions.

In snow and ice at low speeds the locker works great for me, it's pretty seamless. But in the rain I can feel it engage if the back end starts to break loose, and sometimes it can lock and upset the back and promote a little oversteer. Once you are moving it rarely locks though, but that usually isn't a problem.

Only problem I've ever had with mine has been on snow and ice. Sometimes when I go around a corner from a stop and the inside tire starts to spin, even a little bit, the locker will engage, breaking the other tire lose and around comes the back end of the truck. Once I got used to that it wasn't a problem for me.

Not to get off the subject but what you need to do is learn to do donuts in the snow while in 4wd. It's a little hard to get them started but really wild once they're going! I haven't tried it in the CC but I had a Ranger 4x4 once that I used to do them in. Sometimes you can almost get the truck spinning on it's axis! It's basically the same thing monster trucks do in free style competition but harder because we don't have the rear steer.

Yeah, I like that. I actually saw one, on dry pavement no less, by a Typhoon. The way it was spinning around, you almost couldn't tell which end was doing the sliding. It was insane to watch. It also makes me wonder about our front diffs and maybe we underestimate them a bit. To see one survive that much power, maybe they aren't all that weak?

Notice how both back tires are spinning thanks to G80 yet only 1 front is spinning.

I always tell people that a non-locker 4x4 is really only a 4x2 but a 4x4 with a locker is a 4x3.

That's why I've always wanted to put selectable lockers front and rear but there are no lockers for our fronts and I hear that they couldn't take it anyway. :(
