We are going to need a little more info. Time of yr, Miles on truck and HVAC settings when it occurs to name a few.

I have a 2004 S-10 ZR5 with a 6'' lift. It has 73,000 miles on it and the noise just started in the middle of the summer. I feel stupid asking this but what is a HVAC setting.

Check to see if your throttle cable is resting upon the PCV vent line. Tie it up or insulate it. The vibrations transfer to the cab making it sound like a little motor clicking through the dash.
