I have some condensation in my passenger side headlight assembly. I am going to pull the bulbs out and let it air dry for a few hours.
My dad claims that there is a small drain that should let out any moisture that gets in. Can anyone confirm or deny the existence of a drain? There is a little black button type thing in the bottom inside corner in the high beam section of the reflector. It may or may not be a drain.

I'm not too sure about our trucks, but I know my old car did not have a drain and every time it rained, my headlight assembly would get condensated or fill up with water... I went though two bulbs b4 I just decided to drill a few small holes in the bottom of the assembly so any of the water could leak out. It was alot cheaper than replacing the entire assembly or even trying to repair the one I had. It didn't affect the reflection of my headlight or anything either.

Damn!!! I knew I was forgetting to check something during my last oil change... I pulled the assembly out removed the bulbs and let it sit in the sun for a couple of hours. Cleared it up and so far has not returned even after a few rains.

There is what appears to be a drain plug in the lower, center corner (towards center of the truck) of each headlight. On my lights, it's tan in color. It just pops out, but you've gotta pull on it really hard. If this is missing, try getting a new plug. If it's there, try leaving it out for a bit

Why would you want to drain the water out? Then your goldfish would drain out and die too!!
