WIPERS ( arm loose *solved* )

maybe someone can help me here
problem is

driver side wiper has stopped working
the wiper will not move but the wiper post does move almost like something is stripped or needs tightened what migh be my problem here and is there an easy fix?

any help would be great before I have to pay someone to fix it

The nut that holds the wiper arm to the wiper transmission.

Lift the cover and tighten the nut. Make sure it is positioned properly when parked and after you run it.

thanks HJ is the cover on the wiper arm itself?

or do I need to remove the cowl?

On the arm.

The black part snaps over the nut. It is hinged.

It's funny, I had this same problem eariler this year. :lol: I was about to have a stroke over the cost of a new wiper motor and stuff....and one day I thought I'd take a look at the joint and see how bad it was.... took it off, then put it back on, tight, and it worked just fine. Made me so happy :lol:

I just didnt even fool with it I was out last night in the Snow and Ice storm when it quit on me and had to drive 45mins home with only the pass. side wiper

same thing happened to me in a crazy down pour . Thankfully I always have one of my tool boxes in my truck. LOL

I had to do the same to my buddies car. Make sure it's in the right position prior to tighting it down

Just had this happen on the way home today in the blizzard. I didn't know how to fix but I figured once I got home someone in the gang would have the answer. I will have to tighten it down later. I need to warm up after a 30 mile drive at 6 degrees with the window down so I could see to get home :shock:
