I wonder how they handle on ice...

They need to build them highway capable!

If I remember right, they're good for 30 - 45 MPH.

How long do you think our pitman arm and idler would last? Not to mention balljoints.
On a solid axle, maybe. On light IFS, probably not the best choice.

Well it is tried and true Jimmy just scroll down a bit. Many low budget snowmobile clubs up my way use trucks or tractors as groomers. It is also very popular for atvs. I don't know on cost for trucks but atvs run about $4k. Pricey but think the cost of an old 4x4 plus tracks is much less expensive than a real groomer for the trails that run $50-75k depending.
