Post by michael_4x4 »

Why have they not made a 4CYL duramax? They would be amazing for our trucks. Great gas milage and power.

They have in the industrial line and for sure in the earlier chevys. Duramax is an Isuzu diesel. The LUV had a 4 cyl. Isuzu diesel.

Well obviously I don't know everything. I just think it is a very good idea. I think it would be good performance on gas and power.

You will see "new" diesels. Rumor has it that GM is pulling from Holden and bringing their ULSD engines into the lineup for 2009.
Look for midsized cars and trucks running them. I haven't heard any rumors of real performance engines , like the twin turbocharged versions coming here, but aftermarket should have options.
