REALLY REALLY PISSED with my truck!!!

Post by Justin »

Ok i really need to vent and hopefully someone can help me out.

Most of the members who have been around for a few years can remember that i received a new engine a year and a half ago due to a #4 misfire throwing code PO101. Well, after 20k miles with the new motor, the SES light came on again under similar driving conditions. I took the truck to Auto Zone to see which code it would throw and take a guess at what number came up..... PO101... So now what? I was only given a 12K extended warranty with the new motor...Lemon? Should I complain...I mean i intend to trade it in within a month or two so should I shut my mouth? It really pissed me off to find that code come up again  :x

I kept getting misfires when I first bought my truck also. Didn't ruin my engine though.

I know its not really affecting the performance of the engine but its a PITA. I may call the regional rep and give the man/woman my story...Tell them I am interested in purchasing a new vehicle and see if they can help out on that situation..I still owe a little on the crew too..I mean its been in many times for the same problem...lemon? get out of the buy out figure and get back what ive put into it for the down pament on the next??? Who knows..Either way, my grandfather who was a GM employee for 26 years and i suggest that I call and complain

I would try to get it declaqred a lemon .. I beleive that they have to buy back the truck off you ... I wonder if that is for the amount you bought it for or what it is worth now... anyhow I would make them buy it back.. or simply ask them to trade it and I mean really hook you up for your troubles.. if that dont work. tell them your writting a letter to someone above their heads.. Thats what I would do ..

OK, i did some research on the P0101 code and it basically comes down to MAF performance..

http://www.actron.com/faq_detail.php?pid=16152&id=13

http://forums.s-series.org/viewtopic.php?p=190650

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=157074

So the question is, did my dealer not udnerstand the proper problem associate with the code...I mean i got a new engine out of a MAF problem?

I am really confused :?:

I was completely confused!

Turns out this is an entirely new code that has never come up before. code P0300 was the problem before which gave me the new motor  What an idiot!!!...

Well screw this one, I'm just going to reset the code everytime it has this problem, take the k&n out before selling...
