1 ton idler

Post by Hartleybl »

Hey y'all i installed the 1 ton idler assembly last week.. Super happy with it especially after replacing the oem idler with 192k on it ill have to resize some pics to post them here did an entire write up on it over on s10forum.com its super easy comes with instructions just make sure you use the k6447 arm from the 98 3500 i messed up and used the one from a 99+ truck first.. Couldn't figure out why my center link was jacked up on the passenger side and the idler hit the frame.. New correct k6447 and some new holes drilled.. Works like a dream

Nice. I've thought about buying the 1 ton myself. Does it pretty much eliminate side to side movement?

You have to drill 2 holes per the instructions. No other modifications

Just ordered the 1 ton idler bracket tonight. I’m looking forward to putting it on. Hartley, how’s it still holding up for you?
