i got a push bar/center guard off my friend, it was for a older s10 and he cut the bottom mounting brackets off to make it fit on a full size. So i welded some sturdy brackets to the bottom, sand blasted it and painted it. i took the recovery hooks off and mounted them to the channel iron i made to bottom brackets out of. i then mounted the bottom brackets to the recovery hook holes, and the top mounts to the bumper. heres a few pics.

I think it looks like you made if fit nicely. I am a little unsure about the strength of that channel. You might be able to tie into the top bumper bolts , just under the grill.
It may be much better than I think. Pictures do not tell the whole story.
