Bug Shields

Post by TexasBlaZeR2 »

I got a new Stampede bug shield for my Avalanche. I like it so much I am thinking about getting one for the BlaZeR2 also. Does anyone on this forum have one? They make a VP and LP series. The LP is low profile.

What kind of shields are you guys running on your trucks? Did you have to drill any holes to mount them?

Here are some pics I took yesterday. I paid $60.95, including shipping:

Here are some I took this evening. My truck needs a wash though:

Nice Avalanche!

Mine is an AVS and is low profile. No drilling req'd but I did install the two optional screws under the hood. I don't trust tape of any sort at 70 mph over the long haul. It was easy to install, the fit is great and is high quality.

Good Luck!

The AUTO VENTSHADE (AVS) BUGFLECTORII (05-94 GM TK S-SERIES) came from the neighborhood O'Reilly Auto Parts store for $49.99.

The guard is a Westin Safari bar with a custom made light bar to hold 4 lights. It comes stock with two light tabs.

Mine is an AVS also, except mine is color matched (white), because I didn't like the idea of a black stripe across the front of my truck. I think it looks great, and was easy to install with 2-sided tape and 2 optional screws.
2003 crewcab-flowmaster muffler w/dual exhaust and 12" stainless steel tips, cold air intake, color matched bug deflector, LED taillights, Lund tri-fold tonneau, projector foglights, clear corner lights, neft bars, billet grill, Huskey floor mats, molded mud flaps and a Hunter Grill guard. Mods for next years budget...2" body lift, fender flairs, bigger wheels and tires, CB radio.
