Skid plate help

Does anyone have a thread for making a front skidplate to cover the oil filter/4x4 module?? I dont have anything protecting those parts as of now so i need to make one. Thanks guys.

i have old steel ones you can have for 40 bucks shipped if you would like

it has an oil door aswell

This is what you need I dont belive a stock plate willl work i remeber during the install useing the lower stock holes fo the front crossmember. This is what you need

Hey Justin, ever make a set for a first gen S-10 Blazer? I have the aluminum one for the t-case but am missing the ones for the oil pan and front diff.

yah it wont work for the superlift your right i didnt notice that. The plates are beaded 10 ga steel. .136 thick.

There pretty tough with the beading. they are from along time ago and i just found them the other day. in a corner of the garage lol. They are second gen only.

Rusty i never made a set for the first gen sorry man

and to do one would be to expensive unfortunatly

And the plates will work with a body lift.

Do you have that front crossmember that the bottom of the skid plate mounts to that you see in the picture jeggers posted? Did your lift come with a steering stableizer? I was just wondering because there are two different lifts for our trucks. K776 and K776B. K776 comes with the skid plate and the steering stableizer. K776B does not come with the skid plate and steering stableizer but does come with upgraded bilstien shocks.
Unknowingly I got the K776B and had to buy the skid plate and steering stableizer seperate from summit racing. If you have the crossmember we might be able to get you a template so you or justin can make one!

I got the K776, so watever that means...im sure that it has the steering stabilizer, but what skid plate r u talking about? not the one that covers the differential? remember i had a lame ass company put mine on, mistake...im doin the next truck

Do you see the stainless steel skid plate to the left and the black bellypan to your right? and the crossmember in the middle? Do you have any of these?

In the second picture you can see the superlift skid plate with the superlift insignia. If that's what your wanting you can buy it from summit racing

One other thing, if you buy the skid plate from summit it will come with the front cross-member, but , will not come with the correct bolts. I don't remember the size but they are a very odd size. Getting them from super lift would be like pulling teeth. I had to end up getting mine from a specialty hardware store who had to order them. Just wanted to give you a heads up. If you don't have the steering stabilizer, i suggest you get that also

no, im sure i have the steering stabalizer but i dont want to pay 300 bucks for a piece of metal!! haha, if anything i can make it myself cause my friend has a shop that he can go to and we can take my truck in in a few weeks...does anyone know what metal i need or any ideas of how to make one? I looked at justins but he doesnt have the ZR5 listed to buy, or else i might go that route if its not too much...i would like to build it if possible just for fun...ohh and it would be a lot cheaper since i could probably get my hands on a plasma cutter, etc...
