Where to get HPIII?
So where has everyone ordered their HPIII from and how much did you have to pay? It looks like summit, etc. want about $350 for them, and you can find them on ebay new for like $305. Anyone found a better price?

Just make sure your getting the right 1 check Hypertechs website to get part #s and if you buy off ebay make sure it has been reset to factory settings if not its usless to you and you will need to send it to Hypertech to be reset which will cost im sure. This place 355.00 shipped SFX PERFORMANCE and summit 359 shipped BUT I have always gotten everything from summitt in 3 days or less. Your part # should be 30019 for the 2003 s-10

I got a used one off of ebay for under $200 but, I made sure it had been reset and was the correct part #.

I am quite happy with my HPP III but, I realized that I wouldn't get 50 extra horses when I purchased it with "eyes wide open"

coreylubahn wrote:So what is everyone running for their shift points settings? I finally got my HPIII installed and I just used 87 octane tuning and firmer shifts. I didn't mess with shift points yet primarily because I didn't have time, but also because I wanted to get everyone here's input. Thanks.
Am still playing with mine but, if you do a search the shift points were discussed a little
I have mine set for -5 on all shifts, shift firmness, finally have tire diameter set correctly to match my GPS speed and set at 93 octane. It has no knock or ping with Shell, Speedway and Chevron 89 octane.
Used prices at around $180-$200 is well worth it for changing tire sizes alone, not to mention having your AT and ABS work correctly.

I got mine through a group purchase on chevytruckworld for 250.
the way I see it, if you can't get a nice deal off ebay for a used one then check around for a group purchase........in my opinion it is the best mod one can do bang for the buck on our truck.
