P235/75R15 105 Q Will this tire fit a stock Zr5? Or will I need spacers. What size spacer should I get?

Thanks!

235/75R15 Tires Came Stock On My Zr5 & There Is A Sticker Inside THe Driver's Door That Verify's This Is The Factory Tires.
I Run 1.25" Spacers On The Rear Just To Make 'Em Line Up With The Front . They Are Not Needed They Just Make The Truck Look Better IMO

Perfect.

I just bought my truck and it came with slightly smaller tires. I guess the previous owner changed them.

Can't wait to start modding!

I'd say go with 30x9.5x15. Rubbing shouldn't be a problem on stock wheels. :) If you're planning to get a 2" body lift, wait until you do that, then do a mild torsion bar crank, and go with 31x10.5x15's. :)

2" Body Lift
Torsion Bar Crank in the front
2" Lift Shackles in the rear
Skidz Cutout Fender Flares
15x8" Cragar Series 342 Black "Rockcrawler" wheels w/ 4" of backspacing
BFG All Terrain TA/KO 31x10.5x15's

I'm planning to go with 33x10.5x15's in the near future.

I never had a problem with 30x9's on stock rims, with no lift/fender cut mods. Everything was stock and I never rubbed once, but (as said on here several times before) every truck is slightly different. I thought someone had said they were able to fit 31's with stock tires and no mods (?). I didn't have a rubbing issue until I switched to a 15x8 w/ 5.5" backspacing aftermarket wheel, and the rubbing was very slight.

I have said it before, and will again. I was able to rub the stock optional tires size 235/75-15.
Anything as big as or bigger than those has a real potential to rub.
If you are careful and the tires run small you can get away with a little more.

 Even with a 2" body lift, 1-1/2" lift rear shackles and a 1" t-bar crank my 31's would rub on the frame at full turn and the rear tires without spacers would rub the inside of the fender well when fully articulated.

I am very surprised that you don't have any rubbing running 31's without and mods. :o

Do they rub when your fully articulated? :?:

Have you looked at your frame in the front to see if there is a shiny spot where most of us have experienced rubbing? :?

not completely off subject but, what's the difference between a 30x9.5x15 and a 235/75x15? :?: I ask because I am still shopping and mickey thompson has the 30's for a good price, that is if they are good tires (the baja mtx). If you know anything about the thompsons let me know.

The 235/75R15 is 28.8" and a 30 can range anywhere from 29.5 to above 30" depending on which brand you choose. Just check the actual diameter measurement that the company lists. I believe my 30" Cooper Discoverer S/Ts are 29.6" actual diameter.

I have the MTX's. They are in between a all terrain and a mud terrain. They have some noise on the highway. If you spend most of your time on the street I would have to recommend the BFG all terrain KO's over the mtx's. I go waterfowl hunting and I go through a lot of mud and the MTX's work great and are reasonable on the highway, rain, and awesome in the snow. They look really good in person too. I don't know if they cause a rougher ride because I cranked the tbars when I put my mtx's on and it caused a stiffer ride.

Has anyone tried stock tires on a 15x8 wheel with 3.75 of backspacing, during normal driving? With or without a 2" BL??

Just curious.

I've got 15x7 w/4" backspace and no lift. I couldn't turn the wheel more than 30 degrees without rubbing until I tightened the torsion bars and bent the fender lip up and out of the way. Now I only rub at about 3/4 turn with a bump.

I'd steer clear of thornbirds... you'll be sacrificing ride quality as well as offroad performance. If you want something aggressive looking, check out the Geolander MT's, BFG KM's, or Wrangler MT's. Those are pretty awesome looking tires. :)
