Not that there isn't an answer but, I haven't seen this come up before on this site. Most individuals start looking for performance through aftermarket (or homemade) air intakes, and better flowing exhausts before concerning themselves with headers.

I have been out of the serious performance things like cams and such for many years but, headers should be in that level of modifications. IMHO just kick back and do some cheap mods until you are ready to drop in a small block and have the bucks to start upgrading your driveline.

Not that he has ever mentioned it but, HJ has some serious background in the hp business. Check out his links in his signature :D Stick with minor mods and keep tossing that loose change into your piggybank designated for your major hobby.

Have seen some headers for our rides at $300.00 w/$50 shipping. :D

Perhaps if your wallet is thick ask HenryJ how he would modify the Crew Cab and 4.3L engine with a thick wallet.. IMHO :D

Headers?

I'm sure someone who could fabricate streering box brackets could make it work, but the shop I took my truck to, couldn't do it.
