Adding as much Lift as possible

Post by Rebel_62 »

I've been reading the posts on this site for some time now, but finally now i finally have some cash to do something with my 2002 Sonoma ZR-5 Crew Cab.

What i was wondering was what i should do to get as much lift into it as possible, without a suspension lift. I know i should get a BL, and crank the TB, and maybe add some shackles. I want to do it to get bigger tires, and make it look good. Any help would be much appreciated

You can go witha body lift, even the three inch if you are into making something work, there was a member on here who ran the 3 inch on his truck if i remember right. Do a mild t bar crank and run your shackles. Not to toot my own horn but i would run a 2 inch shackle ( that my company makes) with some new shocks ( as our crews shocks suck ) the 2 inch is the best for our zr5 as the rear of our trucks sags like crazy.

shackles here: http://www.customskidplates.com

You can get the body lift anywhere really but the 3 inch someone else will have to tell ya.

You can then run a 31 inch tire to help with another inch or so.

With that you should sit where you want without to much moolah

and maybe some flares to help with the rubbing..
or you could just hack off you fender where it rubbs and just paint it like I did....(flares can be expensive)
