30 or 31

Post by ZIGGY K »

trying to make a decision between 30 or 31" tires. the 30's don't seem to change the appearance of the truck from stock like the 31's do. my question is ; is there anyone who is running 31's have any regrets and wishes they went with a smaller tire?? in other words do the pros out weigh the cons?? mileage;cv boots ; handling; type of ride . any input would be appreciated ,thanks

i have 3.73 gears and really like the look of the 31's. the truck doesn't do any off roading but it crawls through about 15 feet of snow each year...

the long trails arent much more then the stock GYs. BGF MTs are 29.8 , Bridgestone MTs are 29.8, Firestone MTs are 30 overall and a good tire, GY MTs 29.8 and Yokohama Geolander ATs are 29.5 and a good tire .

I have 31's with 3.42... its good in the city and on flat highway but forget about towing, passing or climbing on the highway. Suprisingly, I get 16mpg....
