BL and Tires 2004 ZR5

Post by Hinch068 »

What do I need to do in addition to 2"BL and 31X10.5 tires on 15 X 7 ZR5 rims to make sure it is done safely. I do not want to take shorts cuts and want to do it right. I see T-Bar Crank and Rear shackles in posts and have no clue what they are.......Help I am clueless....

There are detailed descriptions of the products and tools and process involved in all three of those mods in mods section of the main page as well as a great many others.

2" body lift

T-bar crank

Shackles

Good luck and be sure to post LOTS of pics :D

I agree if towing will be on the heavy side but, if not, the Daystar shackles are pretty stout and I've not heard of one buckling and should serve most off road and moderate towing applications.

As far as TB crank specifications, it is suddenly cloudy with my dealer and myself. See Z height specifications. I may be able to get the correct specs within 10 working days.

Welcome aboard and Merry Christmas to you and to all our members and their loved ones.

Do not plan on doing towing. Little off roading nothing crazy and 4WD on beach that is it. Basically just want to lift it a bit and put bigger tires to make it look better.

Overall wasnt to bad. Didnt see in instructions to put the air scoop back so I didnt. and undoing the bracket that holds the oil cooler line connected to the oil pan was really hard to get to , I think it could have been left alone and would have streached just fine. And I didnt need to do anything to my fuel filler hose ,not even stretch it just unhook the ground and place it closer. Also the bed took awhile to get back just right till I was happy with it only 1/8 off side to side but I think it was like that anyway. It was every bit worth it I think I could do another 1 in 8-10 hours now that I no my way around my truck.Worst thing about the entire project was the pics in the instructions trying to figure out what there pointing at.But for the overall look I give it a 10.

I was looking at my BL instructions today and they are terrible.

Several months back, I found the instructions for our trucks on another S-10 site. I think it was ZR2.com but, the author recommended the BDS intructions to use as a reference for the PA 192 lift. It has pretty decent pictures but, it is in the PDF format. You can find them on this Page.

Are you sure it wasn't the ones hosted on our site- 2" Body lift - PAbodylift.PDF

The BDS instructions do look pretty good , perhaps a link to them would also be a good idea :D -BDS #9227. PDF

It may have been Mr. 'king of searches" but, I know it was book marked on my laptop at work and copied it to a disk to bring home. I know that I didn't copy it here.

I wish I never publicly gloated over the "My GM Link" thing. I will lay down quietly under the coffee table ...................... NOT

Anyway, all joking aside, it looks like it will help me on my BL

Those are some pretty good instructions. Using those and the ones on this site my installation time could have been significantly reduced!

I may be wrong on this but, the 192 doesn't have the tow hook spacers.
