Is a 3 and 1/2 inch wheel spacer safe?

If I ever get the TM 5 inch I want to run 2 inch spacers on the front and maybe a 2.5 or 3 in the back. BTW my wheels have 7 inches of offset.

Might run into some clearance issues on the front? 2 inches of wheel spacer will equal quite a bit larger radius, the fenders may need to be chopped?
