Body lift question
Looking for a body lift. Would like not to have to drill or cut. Also need spacers. 2" body and 1.5" spacers. What brand and were do I get them?
So lost. Thanks guys.

For the body lift, most guys run the Performance Accessories body lift. As far as i remember, there isn't any drilling or cutting, if there is, it's minimal. What year/make/model is your truck?
For the spacers, look for seller "completevalue" on ebay, he seems to have the best deals.

Ok, so you'll need Performance Accessories kit 192, call Brad at Diversified Creations and ask him for a price, chances are you'll get the best price from them:
(810) 227-4777
or
sales@diversifiedcreations.com
BDS also has a body lift kit, you might want to ask him for a price on that one too.

Anybody have pics of their crewcab with a body lift? Would love to see some. Mine is going to be done next week. Thanks to you guys giving me direction. I was lost for a bit. Sucks to be a newbie sometimes. Am doing the 2in body, 1.25 rear spacers, and try 31in tires. Will use shackles if needed. Any advantage to them? You guys are great. My old lady and wallet dont like you though because this project went from a "want" to a "need".

Thanks. 2" body lift, torsion bar crank in the front, 2" lift shackles in the back, Skidz Fender Flares, 31x10.5x15's. 33's will come in the future. For now, check out F9K9's gallery for pics. He has roughly the same setup as I do, except he's running 33x10.5x15's.TJ wrote:Beautiful! Is that just a body lift? What size is that?

What is the back spacing on the rims? Just ordered a WAAG grill guard, 2" shackles are on the way, 2" Body lift is on the way, 31/10.5/15 buy 3 get 1 free are already paid for and waiting. Now for the black American Racing or black RockCrawler rims. Just need back spacing. Should all be complete by friday. YAHOO. Thanks.

I'd suggest as close to 5" as you can get.
4.75" rear spacing should work well with a 7" wheel.
Plan on some rubbing though. Mine was driveable, but rubbed quite a bit with that combination.

Yea, you'll probably need to do some fender massaging to eleminate rubbing on the rear of the front fenders.HenryJ wrote:I'd suggest as close to 5" as you can get.

Depends on the mounting method. Mine use angle-iron and mount to the bottom of the body mounts via a longer bolt. I had to make new mounts for the front to raise it two inches, but for the rear, all I had to do was drill a hole 2" higher on the bracket.
So have you installed the body lift yet? We expect pics when done.

Top_SGT and I raised ours by drilling holes 2" lower in the stock ZR5 brackets. The driver's side will need a little hack saw work to clear the front emergency brake frame bracket. He may not look at this thread so, PM him and ask for the photos.
You will also need to drill holes on the driver's side for the e-brakes cable to pass thru.

Any pics. yet? You may have just broken Steve's record for most days before posting a picture.
By the way, I called one of the local 4x4 shops about a lift and $ for install. He must think I'm stupid or something....$300 for the BL and $600 for installation. I told him NO THANKS and that I'd just pay the ~$200 for the BL somewhere else and use the $600 to buy beer, food, and an stripper for me & friends during install. At least the other 4x4 shop said $205 for the BL and that they would not install it.

I hope he does break my record, because then Reed will have to start harassing him and not me anymore.WVHogRider wrote:Any pics. yet? You may have just broken Steve's record for most days before posting a picture.
This idea sounds much better to me!....$300 for the BL and $600 for installation.
