Pics of my truck

Post by Eric H »

I finally snapped a few pictures of my truck... and soon realized I need to invest in a real digital camera. The one on my phone is horrible. :(

Anyway, here's the pictures I managed to take:
Full View - Side
Front Wheel
Rear Wheel - I still need to install my gap guards
Side View - Here you can really see the difference in stance between the front and rear wheels. These wheels have 4.5" of backspacing; I plan on adding 2" spacers to the rear.
Bed Cover
Bed Cover Again - This is my homemade topper made from plywood, 2x4's, and high-grade vinyl. It is connected with chain to the tow hooks in the bed. After I install my power tailgate lock I will have a secure trunk. :)

Ignore any blotches you see on the truck and topper. I just washed it so there is still some ice stuck on it.

Hope you have better luck with those tires than I did. They won't balance worth a darn anymore. :?

I hope so too! I saw your post a while back saying how you had problems with them. So far I only have 3000 miles on them so it might be a while before I see any problems.

I still have to cut and hammer my front fenders a little too. I got those pics from you a couple months ago and still haven't gotten a chance to do it. :(

just wondering why your front tires are so close to the fenders with a BL it looks like i can fit 31s with no probs but for now im running 30s and they dont even come close almost like the stock GYs when I had no bl.

some 31's are just bigger than others.. I am running 31s and I have about the same amount of room .. I have though of cutting my fenders .. But I love the sound it makes when you turn slightly and hit a bump.. its a nice crunching / grinding noise.. honestly im just lazy

I think my problem was the front ball joints going bad. It made the tires wear so unevenly before I got them fixed that there doesn't seem to be any amount of balancing to keep them from vibrating. Just make sure you rotate them often.

The 30x9.5" Dunlop Mud Rovers are on the large side for 30's...29.8 diameter and 10.4 section width, so they're more like a 30x10.5 than a 30x9.5.[/quote]
