fuel pump or fuel intake?

Post by Justin »

Does anyone know where the fuel pump is located or where the fuel is sucked out of the tank. My truck stalled today with 1/8 a tank of gas. Not sure if it was when i gunned it and the fuel went to the back of tht tank or when I stopped and it went to the front?? :?:

The fuel pump is almost in the center of the tank, although the front of the tank has slightly less depth.

There is a little bit of a sump, and it sits in a canister like assembly, designed to keep fuel around the pump to prevent overheating it when someone runs it so low on fuel. ;)
