Is the CS-144 alt mod/ testing avail ?

Post by bgs »

I recall Henry J doing testing on the CS-144 and finding that
some parts needed to be changed out to make it a better
alt. Is this project wit results still avail here ?

Thanks, bg

WOW, thats alot of reading, but it came at a perfect time. I noticed last night while driving with my KC lights, eFan on high, and high beams on that the voltage is dropping a bit.

My previous roomate had a 4.3/4L60E combo that had the same issue. We simply added a larger wire to his, however I'm thinking I'll be looking to get the CS144 upgrade in the near future. Have had several friends figure out how to fit one on the older vortec 350's ('95-'96 Tahoe's) and they are happy with them.

Thanks for bringing this to the top!
