Air Condition ?

I heard somewhere that running a GM ac on Max cool will burn out the control unit. Any truth to that?

I've got 197,000 miles on my '02 and always run MAX. Had to recharge coolant when I replaced my leaky radiator but that is all .

Thanks for your reply. Looks like it doesn't apply to the S10 crew cabs. June, July, and August are muggy hot in Citrus county Fla. the humidity is a killer. I generally start out on max cool and then to normal because it lowers the noise level and I like my music.
