it was Chrysler that actually started upgrading fluid specs in the early 90`s, (ATF+3,+4).... then Ford, then GM with Dexron V, now VI....

ive been using type F in my CC for over 2 years now, for its higher friction coefficents, with no problems.

its about 3/4 of the way toward the top. i should probably reposition it lower though, in case the truck ever gets low on coolant.

its height probably doesnt really matter that much for normal daily driving conditions, but which side you place it on does...

i agree with snowman002... i dont see how a partial or even full loss of vacuum to the booster, would cause the pedal to go to the floor.... ive never seen that cause anything other than a hard pedal. the pedal going to the floor sounds more like a master cylinder going bad, or some kind of internal...

theres a guy 3 houses down from me that also has a Sonoma CC. and theres an S-10 CC that sits an an office center about a mile from me.

other things you can consider doing are removing/trimming the rubber wheelwell opening flaps. this is probably only a good idea if you dont off road your truck through mud and water though. i have mine out, and it does seem to vent better. plus, it makes getting at the spark plugs easier... another ...

it looks like it still has the older style, mechanical injection system on it.

i doubt it has as much power per liter, and is alot louder than modern domestic diesel engines are...

i think "A11" is a circuit #, not a connector#. although it shows 2 of them. the legend shows C1, C2, and C3, as connector #`s... not sure if thats all of them to the BCM... so im not sure which connector pin B5 is on... perhaps C2??? also, to anybody looking at these schematics, bear in mind they a...

thanks for the info.

so, is this white wire the one that grounds the fog light relay? sounds like it is.

but if you ground this wire, the fog light will be on anytime the parking lights are on, right???
meaning you cant turn them off, separate from the parking lights?

i use a lubricant called Maxima Chain Wax on my door and hood hinges, and even on houshold uses. its designed for motorcycle chains, but works very well on many things. it sprays on like a solvent, the dries to a wax like consistency. it isnt sticky, or messy after it dries. it doesnt attract dirt. ...
