I've now pushed myself to demand the 100K out of the CC before going through the he** of replacing this stuff. :wink: :lol: You could wait until 100k, however your mileage and performance will be declining by then. :( I would do a complete tune up around 65k to 75k miles, but that's just me. :wink:...

Removing the rear rotors may take a little extra effort due to the parking brake shoe notoriously making a lip on the drum portion of the rotor causing it to catch. I've seen a few rotors even brake/crack trying to get them off over this lip, but not to worry since you are planning on replacing them...

But it didn't do this at all last summer. I watched the gauge constantly last summer and it always hovered around the guestimated 180 to 190 area on the idiot gauge after the Jet 180*. I think they definitely replaced my thermo to a stock one. :twisted:

Your window motor needs to be replaced. My window use to just stop moving whenever it felt like it. Dealership fixed it a couple months ago under warranty. The popping noise is probably due to it being out of alignment or the window motor gears slipping.

I also told them I was sure that both CV shafts now had dirt in the grease so they replaced both axel shafts assemblies under warranty due to contamination. :D I probably got lucky, but it never hurts to try right. :wink: BTW, the replacement axels never had a boot come off even after another 60k m...

Found my clunking/grinding/binding/tamborine noise. As I figured when I took the parking brake shoe off of the passenger side the other day, the adjuster completely unscrewed and was tumbling around and grinding in the open drum. I'd probably buy another S-10 vehicle if they hadn't discontinued it. I like the small compact truck feel of it, yet I also like the versatility and maneuverability of the S-10.
