Your water temp should be controlled by your thermostat.

It can be a 20* day, and your temps should be in the 190-200* range.

I'll be installing a 170* thermostat in the near future. And expect to see coolant temps under 200* ALL THE TIME.

It's kinds funny that the Malibu doesn't get 30mpg, esepcially considering it's not that large. Our 2003 Bonneville would always get at least 30mpg on road trips. Not sure that there is a DRL module......although I'm not 100% sure of that.

The white wire runs from the fuse block to the BCM....You can cut it, and ground it to enable the foglights, or you can splice into it and ground it.....doesn't matter I don't think.

The DRL are also controlled by the BCM I believe.

If you want to disable teh DRL's you can usually just break two prongs off a relay in the relay box, and the DRL's go away......at my Xtreme worked that way.

Grounding the white wire will enable the fog lights anytime the parking lights are on.

Frank, That doesn't sound right to me.....I've always heard that cupping is a failed or failing shock problem...Are there other dealers nearby you can take it to for a second opinion? If not go to another tire shop or two, and get some second opinions. Take that info back to the dealer, and ask for ...
