i see alot of the horse people here in kentucky using the ford's to pull their horse trailers...a few GM"S,, and no dodges!!! most of the horse farms use ford's...and a few of them swear by them.....if this helps!!

steering damper

ok all you GM experts!!! i'm an old foreign car mechanic,, and this GM stuff messes with me from time to time...like now! :? how do you "install" the steering damper on our crew cabs?? i see where it bolts to the "frame"/cross member!! where does it bolt on the steering?? do i need a different drag ...

in response to my earlier post here!! the rear parts for the gap guards work fine!! :)
however....the fronts did not work well.. :( ....and i'll have to find something else to work.. thought i'd let ya know!!

yes.... check ythe wires at the rear bumper.....i pinched the ground back there.. :roll:
and yes,......there is a ground wire/strap below the battery....shouldn't have anything to do with the lights though!!

i have 2" BL with stock rims with 30x9.5 tires...running 1.25 spacers on the back only.......no rubbing at all!!!! :D i got my spacers at wheeladapters.com....talked to fred. they came with the lugs pressed in...and with the same size lugs and nuts that are stock. i have seen some on ebay..... don't...

checked my lines tonight......no signs of rubbing the shock mount.... i could get my fingers between the lines and the mount.. :) you might try pulling on the lines some to move them away from the mounts. i would not use anything like a pry bar to move them for fear of kinking the line. you should b...

you might try putting a small drill bit or pin into the nozzle tip and moving it up,down or the side....depending on the aim!!!! this has worked for me with GM vehicles and some foreign ones!!!

you say "chaffing"...you mean rubbing??? if they are rubbing you can "move them a little with a little nudge. wouldn't try to bend them out of the way or anything like that!!!!

jeff.... on the bolt to the cooler lines by the oil pan.... if you removed the bolt, i can see where it would be a pain to restart!! fortunately.... i got the lines loose from the bracket and did not remove the bolt!! i did take the clamp off the wiring harness and left it hanging....do not see a pr...

also...... both sets of instructions say to drill holes to reposition the differential actuator and the positive wiring box......NOT>>>> both boxes fit back into the original locations without difficulty. :) :) and come to think of it......i did hear reed yelling while he was outside "smoking" once!...

reed and i installed a PA body lift on my crewcab today!!! went well! :D truck looks a whole lot better. and the best part.....my fiancee said i "need" new tires!!! :D :D time to go shopping, i guess!!! and thanks again to reed for his help today. we will be doing his later this spring,, on a warmer...

my dealer said they could recalibrate my speedo when i put on "real" tires!!! they didn't say what the charge would be!!!!!!but from the impression i got , it shouldn't be much.

is there a way to reroute the wiring to tie the fog lights into the parking lights??? have done this with aftermarkets.....haven't seen a wiring diagram for the factory lights.
