Let's say I could drill through the 2x8 without going astray and popping out the side of it, what will it do to it structurally? I can't see, lets say, a near 1/2" hole in a 1 1/2" wide rafter would be good for it? How about this, a grade 8 u bolt on the rafter and these mounted to it: http://images...

Find another alignment shop. Centering the wheel is done by adjusting both the left and right tie rods. If this happened recently, and there is no damage, I'd suspect worn ball joints, idler or pitman arm. That is a good start. If you find nothing there , work out to the steering shaft joints, whee...

Re: Another Cooling Mod thread. Bigger Radiator? E-Fans? IAT
Dad asked me a question after how I told him I wired the ac compressor lead.
What about when it's winter, and the defroster is running? I'm sure I don't want the fans running all e time while the defroster is on.

I think I have a good grasp on how to rig the winch when needed and such... my question comes to pulling. Im sure I read you dont wanna try and drive while winching, incase the vehicle slips and rolls back and puts a heavy load on the cable. So how do you properly do it? heres how I winched myself o...

Re: Rear pinion seal
Ehhh.. Couldn't say. Iirc it was a 1/2" drive socket. So if you have a decent tool/ratchet set you'll have the right size. If you find one of the other threads especially the one I blew up, lol, brule even posted the step by step gm manual procedure for this. Btw, don't by a cheap gear puller. I did...

Re: Rear pinion seal
Btw. Seal pullars are cheap, go to harbor freight if possible. For a seal installer, I bought an exhaust tube reducer for like $3 from the auto store. If you have a socket big enough that's best.

Re: Rear pinion seal
I did it. It's really not bad, search for a long thread I posted in. You will definantly need a gear puller. I rented one from the auto store. $15 to do it yourself. Ooo, you'll also need a inch pound torque wrench, I had to buy one. So that might addto it, bur you'll have the tool forever. Just dis...

Back from my trip, couple pictures
Got back from the beach. The highlight of the trip would be an all day "deep sea" fishing trip with dad. Apperantly it has been really windy down there, and big waves the past few weeks. It was looking ify the night before if we could depart. The Captain said Hed call us at 6am to let us know of the...

Re: Another Cooling Mod thread. Bigger Radiator? E-Fans? IAT
Well heres the verdict. Just got back from the trip,. lows wre in the 80s highs in the 90s, but the "feels like" temperature was around 110. There were heat advisorys all week long in Myrtle Beach. All the way there, it ran 190-200 in near 100 degree weather. We got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic...

When the coil in my 97 s10 went out, it wouldn't do a thing. Wou would crank till monday and nothing, becuase theres no spark..
Mine had a white mark where it looked like it had "burned through" the casing some, it was just hard diagnosing it.
