I can't see GM supplying new O2 sensors with the cat assy. They will stick you for every thing they can. If you change the O2 sensors, stick with the OE sensors, as some after market sensors don't give as good mileage. My MPG dropped recently, I checked my tire pressure, 3 of 4 tires were between 10...

Try using sone Sea-Foam transmission treatment. My transmission was starting to do some odd shifts. After using about half a can, it seems to have straighened up, and is shifting fine now. It couldn't hurt, and is cheaper than switching trannys.

Check car-parts.com, you might find a bed close to you reasonable. I checked a couple of weeks ago and found a complete engine for $500.00 + 75.00 core. It meant a 200 mile trip one way, but still cheaper than closer alternatives.

Reed, how much of the white stuff did you get? At first we were supposed to only get about 3-4 in. We ended up with about 8-10 in. Further south of us, was about 12-14 in. A difference of about 10 to 15 miles made up the difference. More long hours for me, 16 Saturday, and 12 Sunday.

I'm getting anywhere from 9-10 mpg in cold weather, to 14-15 mpg in warmer weather. the best I have done on a trip was almost 21 mpg on a trip. My truck is bone stock, so you're not doing too bad.

HJ, is it possible that his front axle is taking some time to disengage? I had the problem of my axle not wanting to disengage, but before I could check it out , it started working like it should. I've thought possobly that tne cable on the actuator may be hanging, but I haven't checked it out yet.

Finished painting and installing the fuel door last Saturday before we left on vacation. Picked up the paint in a spray can from NAPA (custom mixed). Took a couple of hours to paint, and about 35 min to install and adjust.

You guys are lucky. I'm lucky toget about 12-14 mpg mixed driving, with about 20mpg on the highway. I don't usually drive much faster than about 60-65 mph on the highway, most of the time a little slower. This is after a tune up and fuel filter change.

It may be possible that the computer is not giving the command to start the fuel pump, and it is starting when the engine builds oil pressure. I've had this problem on other GM vehicles. the easy check is to have some one turn the key on while you listen (with the fuel cap off) at the fuel filler.

The vent visors I have were on the crew when I bought it. The only problem has been the double stick tape that had came loose. It was a job replacing it but now they're good as new.

It took me about 45 min to change my rear u-joint. A coworker let me use his garage and torches. it took a while even wity both of us working on it.

Congratulations. I've bought tickets for some guns, but never been lucky enough to win one. Best I've done was a $25.00 wally world card from the local International dealer at their open house at the beginning of the summer.

Believe Brule! The vent is nortorious for water contamination. The way mine was mounted, the rain water would get in it. f9k9, you are right about the anti-seize! After 32 years+ of wrenching on DOH equipnent, PB and anit-seize are required for any repairs. I prefer the copper anti-seize. It seems to work better than the silver. As for PB or Deep Creep, I can't say becase I've never used it. Age + salt + corrosion = n...
