Make sure you try another spark plug on #1 so you can be sure its not a faulty plug. This may sound stupid, but make sure all of the spark plugs are properly tightened. I've seen loose plugs cause misfires. A coil that is going bad will have random misfires, not just a specific cylinder, so I don't ...

I only see 3 possibilities. The new stereo and/or the adapter is defective, or the wiring to the front right speaker is damaged. Are you positive those speakers were working before you pulled the factory stereo? I had some weird stereo issues when I had my CC. With the factory stereo and later with ...

Re: Installed new headunit and now two speakers don't work?
I've always had good luck with Crutchfield adapters since they are very well made and vehicle specific unlike most of the universal auto parts store adapters. Crutchfield gives you all this kind of stuff for free if you buy the stereo from them.

Make sure all of the spark plug wires are fully seated in the cap and on each plug. They should snap into place and not be easily pulled off. Unless there is something wrong with the new head unit, the problem has to be a bad connection at the adapter. Pull it all apart and check that connection real good. Make sure none of the pins inside the plugs are bent or have loose wires. Test it again before you put everything back together.

Did you use an adapter harness or wire everything directly? Re: <PG
Most people average about 15 mpg. When I had my CC I averaged 16-17 mpg with a best of 21 mpg and a low of 14 mpg.

Re: Brake Line Threads
There are 2 companies that might be able to help you. Classic Tube, and Inline Tube. They both make custom made brake lines and each has their own website. Just tell them you need some Chevy to Jeep extended length brake lines. As long as you know the year of the vehicle and year/make of the axle, I...

Re: Dead in the water * solved (loose bolts)
How in the world did they break a piece of the bellhousing off? Did they do this when the motor was taken out? Maybe they used a jack or something under that spot?

An AWD Crew Cab with a Borg Warner 1372 (Syclone) or 4472 (Typhoon) transfer case would be a cool project!

Re: Newbie MML Questions?
Welcome to the forum! Yes, you can run 31's with the MML and no Skidz flares and it will look fine. Most of the members here have gone that route since the Skidz flares were only made in limited numbers. If you wanted to run 33's you would need the flares and/or have to open up the wheel opening to ...

Re: Couple of Wheel Questions
Any of the steel wheels Black Rock makes can be custom back spaced. The aluminum wheels they sell are fixed sizes only. I have the 15x8 type D steel wheels with 6.5" of back space. The factory S10 wheels are 15x7 with 6" of back space. A 15x8 wheel with 6.5" of BS will have the same tire center line...

Black Rock makes custom backspaced wheels that will fit the CC! I have some on my 05 ZR2. I bought mine from Americas Tire for about $110 each.

I know I'm way off topic here, but I haven't had a CC for almost 5 years now, and this is still my favorite forum!

One good thing about this site is that there is a ton of info here and plenty of people willing to help. You will really like how your truck looks after the BL and bigger tires. It is a little wimpy in stock form.

Re: 31/10.50/15's, spacers and body lift help!
I ran 31x10.5" Goodyear MT/R's on stock rims, 1" spacers on the rear, no spacers on the front, a 2" BL, 1.5" T-Bar crank, and 1-1/2" lift rear shackles with very good results. The front and rear track were exaxtly the same with 1" spacers on the rear, and I only had a little bit of frame rub when th...

Re: rear axle seals
When you have the axles out, make sure the area where the seal will be is very smooth with no scratches, burrs, etc. I usually use 2000 grit or higher sandpaper to remove any scratches, followed by fine emery cloth, and even a buffing wheel with fine polish compound. The smoother that surface is, th...

Re: 4x4 front axle help
When I had my CC I had to have the dash switch replaced once and the encoder motor replaced twice because my 4wd would not engage. I believe the vacuum check valves are there to prevent moisture and other contaminants from getting through. You can usually find them for cheap in the "Help" section at...

Re: rear axle seals
Do you have pitting on both sides? Those repair bearings are just offset bearings that make the bearing ride farther down the axle. I have never used them. I know a few people who have tried them with mixed results. Some have had no problems, while others have had failures in a short amount of time....

Re: Have brakes pedal sinks low
Removing the master cylinder from the booster will let air into the lines below it, but it won't let air into the MC itself unless you let all the fluid drain out. In other words if you remove it and keep it full you don't have to bench bleed it again. You will have to bleed the rest of the system a...

Re: I want to lift my s10- help
ok thanks, so if i want to do a suspension lift, i need to just do a full one. Yes! Super Lift makes the best one for the CC. I did the BL, t-bar crank, and shackles when I had my CC and liked the results. The big suspension lifts are nice, but they do create other problems. Most of the people who ...

Re: Have brakes pedal sinks low
The booster might be the problem, but it also might be something else. I was very surprised it fixed my low pedal problem! Human error can also cause problems! For example if you had a new master cylinder put in, was it properly "bench bled" before it was installed in your truck? It has to be comple...

When you say bushing, are you talking about the filter seal? Did you damage the aluminum around the seal and did you manage to get the seal installed flush with the valve body?brettgf4 wrote:I changed the bushing in the valve body and made sure the filter was in correctly before reinstalling the pan.

Re: Aftermarket Diff Covers
Yeah, its pretty easy, once you tighten down the cover bolts you then tighten the bearing cap bolts to about 10 ft. pounds, and then tighten the jam nuts. To prevent leaks you can put a little silcone on the threads before you tighten them down.
