I think people are confusing the EBCM (which is attached to the ABS pump), which is what the original post is about, and the BCM (under the dash). The BCM is VIN locked and can be reset with the proper software at the dealer. The EBCM if I remember correctly is not VIN locked. I ended up buying a AB...

Re: Newbie with purchase question on 03 S-10 CC ZR5
I paid 11k for mine just over a year ago. Mine is an '02 and it had 59k when I bought it. Nothing mechanical was really wrong with it except it was time to change fluids, tune-up and such, just like I'm sure that one will be needed, and yours may need suspension work depending on what mods have been...

Re: Time for new tires..
Take advantage of any deals on financing and rebates at your local tire places too. Discount tire always has something going on, especially if you get one of their care car one credit cards. If your purchase is $500-999 you get 6 months interest free. That's what I did for my set of wrangler dura-tr...

Re: DIY bed liners
I put the hercu-liner in the bed of my 95 and on my rockers and wasn't impressed at all. Did a good job prepping and coating, but the protection just isn't there. Peels easy due to being so thin and if you have just heavy objects back there. I put my money where it was well deserved when I got my CC...

Re: New Rough Country 2.5 lift
I'm wondering if he was having problems with the CV shafts hitting because he didn't install the keys suppied with the kit. The keys are what gives the lift the lift. You will obviously get some lift cranking your stock ones up as far as they can, but they will only go so far. He might not experienc...

Tried the ceramic from NAPA and GM and Two other sources all =1/3-1/2 the life of the metallics so, No to that one. Not drilling calipers or pins, just the mounting bracket they hook onto. Not going to be large holes either. only 1/8" or less dia except where zerk is installed. The silicone grease ...

Re: HOW TO: Rear 12v electrical outlets
Only thing you have to worry about with 120v outlets is, depending on wattage, have fans and need air circulation. You won't get a lot if any in that location. You would probably end up with heat build-up which could lead to a fire. might be better to add the 12v in the back and if you want to plug ...

Re: Tow/Haul button......and Auto 4wd
Well nothing to report yet. I was hoping I could flash I myself but don't have clearance. Will have to get someone over to eventually try to flash it, still haven't even had time to get the mod done. Will report back when time permits.

Re: Tow/Haul button......and Auto 4wd
Digging up this thread again because I had a question about the swap. HenryJ, what gears did your truck have in it from the factory? I ask because mine has the optional 3.73 gears in it and finding a BCM with the GT4 code and tow/haul function is like a needle in a haystack. Im not sure if the geari...

Re: MPG?
Ive got an 02 w/ fiberglass topper. All freeway driving I average between 19-21 during the summer. And with mostly city driving I average about 15-16. I'm running an aggressive A/T tire as well. Goodyear Duratracs. Trucks got 69k on it.

HOW TO: Rear 12v electrical outlets
I am writing this because I have seen a few posts over time about people complaining and/or wishing the crew cab had some 12V outlets in the rear so the back passengers could plug in a phone charger or whatever. Well I finally got around to installing some and it came out pretty well. Parts and tool...

Re: Reciever Hitch
I did a lot of research on hitches before I bought mine. I decided to get a Curt hitch in part because their class III/IV hitch offers a 4,000lb towing capacity without the aid of weight distribution. This will come in handy if you tow a boat that weighs over the 3,500lb limit that Valley and I'm fa...

Re: General Questions about the ZR5 Sonoma's/S-10's
Now, years later... I am contemplating buying a used 03. It's a yellow ZR5 Sonoma, very clean in and out with 97,000 miles. The stealership would like 8995.00 for it (actually they told me they were doing me a favor because it is listed online for 10,995). Now what i'd like to know... I think this ...

Overhead display
I've got an overhead display that has the avg mpg, instant econ, fuel used, ect. This is just the display unit and clear lense with buttons. It is tested and does work. Would take $25 + shipping. Do not have a pigtail for it though.

Re: Door Locks
Sounds like the truck still thinks the key is in the ignition. Does your truck ding when you open the door with the key out of the ignitnion? I'm not sure if the truck uses the same system to tell the drivers door to not lock with the key in as it does to ding if you leave the key in the ignition an...
