They're a little more lenient here in Indiana with the tires sticking outside the fenders. Besides...it's a small town and we know almost everyone, including the city and county cops, so things should be OK. :)

no, those are perfect. remeber, the taller you go the wider you need to go to be safe...its always a compromise, but those are perfect axels for your rig. Cool...the only issue now is how much they'll take for the truck. I told them $700 was the most I would spend, so we'll see. The general manager...

That measurement was a little off because it was outside to outside. When I measured brake to brake, it was about a 4" difference overall. Still not as much as I thought though. We'll see if they get anyone to pay $1500 for it. Heck...at the worst I could sell a decent D60 rear and a decent D44 fron...

Just wondering because I measured outside of wheel to outside of wheel and the rear was the same as mine and the front was 2" wider overall on the F250. They're wanting $1500 for the truck...and it's a rusty POS. I told them $500. We'll see what happens.

We just had an old beater 79 F250 4x4 traded in here and I was wondering if you guys thought the axles would work on an S-10. Would it absolutely have to be narrowed or could I make them work?

Careful with that grille strip...it's plastic. Sandblasting might damage it. Self-etch primer might not work on that wither. You may need a plastic adhesion promoter on it after the scuff sand to get paint to stick.

I've got a Canon S420 and it's pretty nice. Takes video with sound and I got the large upgraded CF card with it so it holds something like 30 minutes of video or 300+ images at max resolution. Includes rechargeable battery and charger also.

I believe most of the GM V8's are the same block, just different stroke, intake manifold, etc. I've always heard that you could put the intake manifold from the 5.3 trucks onto an LS1, and vice versa, or the 6.0 intake on a 5.3, swap the cranks, etc., etc. I may be wrong about the cranks, but I know...

I think most all of them are RWD also. I doubt the Ute and Crewman would do well in our Full-size pickup/SUV society. Try counting the number of Subara Baja's you see on the road. :? I wish more GM's had the V8 also, but I bet the CAFE (Corp Avg Fuel Econ) rules force them to have cars with 4-banger...

The frames always hang really low on our trucks. It's the price we pay for having decent headroom in the cab. I would drag mine regularly when I was wheeling in AZ.

quickbiker has a solid axle swap done on his. He probably has at least 3 more inches of lift than yours. And he also trimmed off the lower portion of the bed sides behind the rear tire to allow a custom bumper.

I actually got my 30's (on stock wheels with no BL) to rub on the top of the wheel well with the wheels straight. Flying into a 2 ft deep hole that's 12'x12' at 40 mph will tend to flex out the front suspension a little. :mrgreen:

I would do HJ's setup first. If you're still unsatisfied, then go bigger later on. And you'll already have the BL and flares, so you'll have room for bigger tires later on anyway. 8)

My t-bars were cranked with the Rockcrawlers and 30's and still rubbed. I fixed it with a little BFH wheel well adjustment, but not everyone is comfortable with hitting their truck with an 8lb sledge. :mrgreen:

When mine was still stock, I had 15x7 US Wheel Daytonas (Rockcrawlers) with 4.5" BS and 30x9.5 tires and rubbed on the bottom of the wheel well when turning and flexing. And dealership parts dept or maybe GMPartsDirect should have ones that are threaded on the end for use with the stock black lug nut covers. I had to buy some for my Camaro before when the stupid dealership forgot to include the current lug nut key with the car. :roll:

I used a cutoff wheel to do mine and I would say there had to be a better way to do it. It took some extra coaxing with a hammer, screwdriver, and pliers to get the front pieces off.

He got bubaloo's flares. The one's Mike (LS1 ZR2) made won't fit our trucks...well...the fronts will but the rears won't.

LS1 ZR2 is a long time member over at ZR2.com.

It's fairly easy really. If they already have an OEM finish on them (gloss I'm assuming) you just need to scuff the surface with 400 grit, wipe it down with tack cloth and a good cleaner/degreaser solution, then paint them.
