Not sure of the details on extended warranties, but in my dealings at my new job (Ford dealership) with entended warranties, just make sure it covers what you want it to. I've seen warranties that cover only basic engine and tranny parts and others that cover nearly everything bumper to bumper. The ...

no, those are perfect. remeber, the taller you go the wider you need to go to be safe...its always a compromise, but those are perfect axels for your rig. Cool...the only issue now is how much they'll take for the truck. I told them $700 was the most I would spend, so we'll see. The general manager...

That measurement was a little off because it was outside to outside. When I measured brake to brake, it was about a 4" difference overall. Still not as much as I thought though. We'll see if they get anyone to pay $1500 for it. Heck...at the worst I could sell a decent D60 rear and a decent D44 fron...

We just had an old beater 79 F250 4x4 traded in here and I was wondering if you guys thought the axles would work on an S-10. Would it absolutely have to be narrowed or could I make them work?

The "picture" your body shop guy was probably referring to is a spectrometer. Most body shop guys say "camera" or "take a picture of it" because it's easier than knowing what a spectrometer is. If NAPA is doing it, I'd imagine it's a PPG Prophet, which is what we used. It basically shoots light at t...

I believe most of the GM V8's are the same block, just different stroke, intake manifold, etc. I've always heard that you could put the intake manifold from the 5.3 trucks onto an LS1, and vice versa, or the 6.0 intake on a 5.3, swap the cranks, etc., etc. I may be wrong about the cranks, but I know...

If they already have an OEM finish on them (gloss I'm assuming) you just need to scuff the surface with 400 grit, wipe it down with tack cloth and a good cleaner/degreaser solution, then paint them. As for the flat or semi-gloss finish, you can either do a single stage (no c...
