Turned out to be the power steering pump. They gave me a Silverado Z71 for the mean time to drive! He said that the new pump will be in tomorrow and it should be ready not too long after that.

I heard my buddy's new JL sub and it sounded 100 times better than my Infinity. Turns out the mounting depth was an entire inch shorter so I made a new box and bought the JL sub! It sounds sweet! I'm still running my Traxxas Nitro Rustler... I used to have a gurgling sound when at low RPMs. I had a leak in the coolant lines or something?? It was under warranty. But it was annoying. Came from the passenger side down by the feet there!

We've got about 8 more tires stacked in the back to put on still! We just installed line locks tonight so we don't have to use a brick to keep it in place! As for them catching fire, I bet it wouldn't be much longer than what we did, the rubber on the ground was smoking for quite a while afterwards!

Word of advice!

When tightening the mounting bolts for the bed under your truck don't let the ratchet slip off while you're tightening them and your hand is still holding it. I crushed my pinky finger really bad tonight! I'm not sure yet if it's broken but it hurts really bad!!!! Not to mention, it's twice the size...

From what I remember, I think it's a special kind of screw type bolt that when you turn it, it locks it closed. Maybe someone else can be of more help... but it's not threaded, that's for sure

I thought about it! But I didn't like the big height difference from the back to the front! But once I took those things off, I couldn't believe how much better it handled! lol I'll probably keep them in my garage for the time being... Who knows what I'll do??

I actually just changed back to stock shackles two days ago... I didn't like the sway on the freeway when changing lanes quickly. I does help to have two people to do the job, but it is possible to be done by yourself.

Get a good set of air tools! Also, have both metric and standard sockets. I believe it was a 17mm (or was it a 19mm??) that will be needed alot! Just take your time and follow the directions. Good Luck!

Rock was running 31x10.5x15's without a body lift a while back... He had a problem with the tire hitting the top of the fender opening when going over big bumps, railroad tracks, etc... I did the body lift to clear the tires. I'm not sure how 30s would have fit with out the BL. They fit just fine with the BL with no rubbing. Haha! No, I put those lights and the bar on there! I wanted a yellow Zr-5 but when I bought mine in late July of 2004, all the yellow ones were gone anywhere near here! So I just took what they had! And Steve, your truck makes me wish I had gone with the 31s instead of the 30s!!

I've moved them up after the body lift. But it wouldn't be very difficult to move them down. You'd just have to drill out new holes on the brackets and lower them. For the Body Lift, try ebay. It's part number is PA 192. If you're unsuccessful there, try SummitRacing.com or Stylinconepts.com... they should have it around 200. The Spacers, check ebay for those too. A guy on ebay (Completevalue) makes them and they're good quality. Most people suggest Hubcentric...

Ace, in my album I have a picture of each of the brackets and you can see what needs to be done. Basically, you need to drill holes two inches below the highest holes on the brackets. The bolts are welded onto the frame, so if you want to remove the lower ones that wont be used anymore, you can grin...

What you're going to want to do is search the lift section on this site. But what I would suggest for a lift like that, is the Performance Accessories 2" Body lift ($200 or so), then get some lift shackles ($50 or so), then turn the torsion bars to get another 1" in the front (but you must then get ...

If your truck does have them, there is a switch underneath the headlight switch. I am pretty sure that the harness is back there, you just need to get the panel with the switch. I've seen those on ebay quite alot.
